My point is that they may be inactive but like FMSGT when they join they become regulars on the site which is also helping FMScout.

Its yours project in not telling you how to run it, you can do as you please just don't need to be harsh to new members. It comes across like your a absolute dick and we all know you aint.

No, I do see your point, but really it depends on how many problems TSO has with the database, because he's finding it quite hard

Ok, guys it's taken a long time but I've only got 10 more managers to make(not including people who need to up their posts). So hopefully should start soon. Sorry that I can't put a date on that and thanks for your patience

One way to get people to become more active, is be less restrictive on things like post counts. Allowing people to become involved in something like this is likely to get them to become more active.

Yes, I do see what you mean, it really just depends on whether TSO will want to make the people in the database.

Yeah, Khejan I see your point, but this database is a lot harder than I thought and I've struggled to get everyone in,so I don't want to spend a load of time creating some guy, only to find out that he's not following the story.

I think thats the thing, going to the effort to put someone into the database for them to just not follow/comment is counterproductive and holds us all up.

But it is true that getting them hooked on things like this gets the post counts up quick too... what came first the posts or the poster (yes i know that doesn't work as an analogy or even as a sensible statement but shhhhh)

OK, either I get rid of all the low post guys and this thing starts on Thursday or Friday,

or we give them the chance until the 8th to see if they are active,

Or we let them all in none the less and this takes maybe another week or so to start.

I don't really mind what we do, so I'll let it be up to you guys
