Hey there,

This is exactly the sort of advice i was looking for, although i've added a couple of headings.

Here's what i'm after!

Nationality: European (ideally British)

Age: 23+ developed, consistent and established.

Position: Striker. Playing upfront on his own in an advance forward, Target man or Poacher role.

Formation played: I play a 4-3-3 with a lone striker and 2 attacking wingers upfront.

Best Attributes: Finishing, Off the Ball, Composure, Anticipation. Pace and/or Heading. Pace isn't so much of an issue as my wide players have speed to burn, i just need someone to hang off the defenders and put the ball away.

Available funds: £64m

Year: 2nd Season

Club: Southampton (Finished 4th last season, won Capital One cup, qualified for Europe)

Remarks: Rickie Lambert has been fantastic but is 31-32 now and Jay Rodriguez, although a good player, isn't really doing it for me. In an ideal world i'd get Danny Welbeck but although Man Utd accept my offer of £20m he has no interest in joining. I guess i'm after somewhat of a marquee signing, somone who can come in and bag me 20+ goals a season without needing the time to bed into the squad. I'm not interested in young talents as i already have Adam Campbell and Mason Bennett coming through.

I think you should go for Ricky Van Wolfswinkel from Sporting Lisbon (if he's still there). He's Dutch, should be about 24-25, and will bag you loads of goals a season. I had him at Sporting, and he bagged about 15 in all competitions before December when I started to use a 4-6-0. Shouldn't be that expensive either, what with him playing in Portugal and that. He's also a Dutch international, so obviously good.

Unsure about box to box role but try wes hoolihan from Norwich city. Should get him cheap. He has worked wonders for me in a CAM and CM role.
