I wish I was a real football manager

i really do wish I could be a real football manager or better still actually own a club!!!

why don't u win a lottery, buy a good club, then buy me as a player?

Yep two cool coaches that will do me fine!! need a pysio and a couple of good scouts - any idea? oh and could do with a dietician and a sports scientist(to look at other ways to improve a team)

Get yourself to England mate and am sure you will find a club willing to take you on! My team Scunthorpe united has a youth coach already but that doesnt mean they wont be willing to have another.

yeah that would be great but problem is that i need work permit to get there becouse we are not in EU

aurelius you should enquire over voluntary work in your local club to get experience before u do anything like moving countries because little experience will not go down well if your looking for a job in a club like scuntorphe

I'd say the sad truth is if you aren't a former player of some repute, it's a hard profession to break into (and I do speak from some experience). This in spite of most places claiming they have a coaching shortage, which comes from the fact there's a very high attrition rate early on, people can't take it. The general path is do take some courses if you have access to good ones, do some volunteering, see if you can build a bit of a reputation or at least some coaches who will speak up for you. When I pursued it (it wasn't a bid to become a full-time professional, mind), I volunteered, and always took time to do little things... I'd make sure I welcomed the referees to our field when they arrived, I would have a chat with opposing coaches, I'd make sure if some opposing players had a particularly good game that I sought them out and told them so (you should see what that does for a 16-17 year old!). I built a lot of respect for our program this way, which I think it still benefits a bit from. Pretty much, I had the impression I could have had a job anywhere else in the district if I could have moved for it, but since that wasn't in the cards, and I had no luck becoming an "insider" in our small community, it went nowhere in the end. But I loved it.
