Installation Instructions for all versions

I've created a video of the installation process for clear and precise help. It's pretty straight forward to be fair!

Windows Installation

Program files(x86) -> Steam -> steamapps -> common -> Football Manager 2024 -> data

Gamepass

On the game pass app go to the game and look for the three dots … for more options. You should see “enable mods”. Do that and tell it where to put the files; now you will be able to go to that folder and you will see all the sub folders you need, extract the 2 files and place in your data folder.

All versions are extremely simple to install. Just download the version you want, extract the x2 .fmf files (winzip or winrar) then place the 2 extracted files in the correct above directory.

Done !

IMPORTANT INFO
When SI update the game it puts your game files back to default and also creates a new version of the game. I then release a new version of the mod Simply just paste your downloaded files back in the data file and your new pack will overwrite the default sounds again. DO NOT PASTE AN OLD VERSION AS IT WILL CRASH YOUR GAME.

Please refrain from posting comments about the mod causing your game to crash. If you follow the installation instructions correctly, you shouldn't encounter any issues with your game. In case you mistakenly install it in the wrong directory and require assistance, feel free to send me a private message, and I'll do my best to assist you.

He is creating a standalone app for this one, so it wont be like the 24 and prev versions in terms of setting it up. In saying that i havent tried any of the 24 and before that versions as FM wasnt something I played back then, ive been personally attracted to FM26 with the sensational, for me, match engine, which is so very organic and has animations (in terms of running actions) better than FC or PES for me, albeit without the complexities in their engines. Back to the audio, to have comms slipstreamed into the gameplay by having this app running alongside it and looking for triggers in the text commentary, aloing with what I hear have been brilliant audio enhancements compared to vanilla in the 24 and prev versions, is a dream for me, and very cleverly done. MetzFM deserves huge rewards for his work.

Also will the first version be more or less the same like in your 24er file or will it include already some additional stuff? :-)

Great work! Saw a little bit on Twitch and its sooo good to finally hear some proper chants again.:-) Cant wait for it to be released. Also im very curious what else there will be added like Goal music or unique team sounds or different goal sounds when the away team scores. This work really deserves more recognition! Makes the game just better.

So, i have it working !!! i think ill stream it live tonight at around 8pm for people to have a look at and listen to, it is no where near finished but i have it working. just search for o0metz0o on twitch. give me a follow and you'll be notified when I'm online testing it !

So timeliness wise, I can't really say exactly if and when I can get this to work as its intended. It'll be at least a month before I even have everything where it needs to be and working correctly. This what I'm doing is totally different that just adding sounds making triggers, testing cleaning.... This is a whole new from the ground up app with no help and only me testing, checking, waiting literally thousands of different codes with different hooks buttons toggles etc. We will see

To be really honest, there is so much I need to do it's insane.... But to confirm... I have an extremely early version working.... Need loads of work doing to it.... But I have a working sound mod that is stand alone and doesn't require any files from the game. So works even after updates without having to do anything....

@ Metz: Dont want to pressure you or anything, grateful for your work, just out of curiosity do you try to release something lets say before christmas or even earlier or is this more a long term project that needs a few more month time? Just to have a slight idea if it makes sense to check for it each day. :-)

Wow, so we could get goal music for the home team only (which wasnt possible i think) or different original chants for different teams or maybe even hear "you´ll never walk alone" when Liverpool team comes on the pitch i dont know? Really sound fantastic, cant wait if this all works.

Well, I've been trying to make this app for the best part of a month for 6 hours a day. Using the sounds I created over the last 6 years. But with it being an app, it doesn't rely on FM and updates etc. So no more stupidity of having to update this mod every month and people having to download it constantly. I've no clue how I've got to the stage I'm at with it but it's looking really good so far, stage I'm at is linking all the text in the game, to the triggers, then linking all the triggers to sounds. Also..... The toggle to turn commentary on and off at will, also the hone and away crowds, home and away goals, there so much I'm doing it's insane

Update on fm26

I'm building a stand alone app..

And I have it working.....

But not working as it should, like reading the right triggers for the right sounds.... But I've got it working and the possibilities of what I can add are endless..... Like FM sounds changing endless... To a point where I can develop unique team sounds and..... Have you ever heard a commentator scream.... Haaland's gone for it! That with this app could be possible

the new version is like a bad retro throwback of a free community game

Would be sad if there is no one who can help Metz here because the more i play FM26 the more the sounds are annoying me, just horrible in comparison to this file in FM24. Really missing this file because i personally love the new match engine but without this file its just hard to have fun
