This update directly some of the issues reported by users in FM26 Beta since going live. These changes will be reflected in existing save files.

As usual the update is save game compatible, so you don't have to start a new save game.
To update you will need to close down Football Manager 2026 and re-launch for it to update. If this does not work for you or you feel it has not updated you will need to restart Steam or Epic.

Amongst the changes in tonight’s hotfix you can find:- Various Stability fixes
- Fixed crash when creating a new save game
- Fixed issue where back button incorrectly takes user to previous team meeting
- Filter on tactics screen now works in all resolutions
- Fixed issue with radio buttons text formatting during manager creation
- Fixed crash when using Player instruction
- Fixed issue where sometimes the continue button wouldn’t work
- Player's silhouette icons are no longer misaligned in Squad>First Team
- Fixed soft lock after creating a new FMFC account and attempting to sign in
- Fixed occasional crash when using any team talk option after a match
- Fixed issue where sometimes you were unable to leave a match
- Fixed issue where player-exchange transfers will see the player joining the AI club become a free agent on completion of deal
- Fixed issue where users were unable to close the Tactical Analysis view once open if the user visits a player profile
- Fixed issue where keyboard shortcuts was causing soft lock in manager creation

Before you post, please use the search function to check if someone has already raised something similar. If they have, you can give the post a "+1" by clicking the relevant button to say you've experienced the same. This will allow the developers to see clearly which issues are affecting the largest numbers of users.
