The Competition News screen is a newspaper-style area of information detailing events, transfers, matches, and any number of other items relating directly to that competition.

Every competition in Football Manager has a news screen where you will be able to find the latest information about what's going on. The format somewhat replaces the old, 'traditional' style where this news may have arrived in your Inbox, but as a result your personal news is clutter free in your Inbox whilst all other news items about other teams and competitions is easily accessible elsewhere, on this screen. If, however, you do wish to configure things differently, set up your News Subscriptions to filter things accordingly.

The Screen Layout
As previously mentioned, the screen is laid out somewhat like a newspaper's sport section. There are multiple panels on the screen - one containing the Main Story, multiple containing other stories of interest, and one containing headlines and links to all stories. The Main Story is not configurable and will be chosen depending on the importance of all other stories.

Transfer Rumours
The 'Transfer Rumours' tab lists the latest rumours of the day, linking many a club with different players. Each rumour is given a source, but as you may expect from the press, the accuracy of such rumours may leave something to be desired.
