Before the playoff...
The first Hot Seat season is comming to an end, and only two managers manage to get a job including David Beckham who was sacked by is first team but manage to join an other one two weeks later.
Justin Case, was the first manager to get a job, joining Sparta in Jupiler League and as the club was a favourite for promotion (predicted 2nd), he was under through the whole season making it only one time to the top 5. However he manage to secure a playoff spot for his club at the end of the season, and will fighting for promtion over the next few weeks.
The former England international legend, Beckham, got a job in the upper division at Heracles Almelo, but he didn't manage to make his mark with the team and was sacked in February with only 3 wins.
Nontheless, FC Zwolle anounced the next week that they sacked their manager, and the chairman made of the former Man United and Real Madrid player his target to replace Ron Jans. Beckham will join Zwolle, not manage to win a game and the team will finish 17th in the Eredivise...just behind Heracles!
Now, Zwolle are going to play the relegation playoff and they could meet Case's Sparta on the way.
How are the Dutch promotion and relegation playoff held?
Firstly, the Jupiler League is divided in 4 periods of eight matches. The top team through all of these periods gain a playoff second round spot, or direct promotion if they finished first of the global season. The four best placed teams in the Jupiler League who didn't win one of these five place are through to the playoff first round.In the playoff first round, teams are drawn together for home and away games, the two winner joins the four periods winners, but also Eredivise 16th and 17th placed for the Second Round. The team who finished 18th in Eredivise is directly relegated to Jupiler.
So we have height teams for the second round, and four winners who will be drawn together for the third and last round. Once again it's a direct knockout round, and the two winners will be playing 2013-2014 Eredivise!
First round teams: Sparta - FC Eindhoven - MVV - Almere City
Second Round teams : Two first round winners - Zwolle - Heracles - De Graafschap - VVV - FC Emmen - Volendam
Third Round : Four second round winners
Justin Case and Sparta are through to playoff second round
Sparta Rotterdam won 3-2 on agreate against FC Eindhoven and are through to the promotion playoff second round. They will meet David Beckham new team, Zwolle.
I played PSV, got my team in a promotionspot, defeated the feeder team of PSV (which I had a career with and won the CL with, using only Dutchies whole career), and may be facing Beckham. (Laughs)

Good to see some people getting some jobs, especially Beckham. I wonder if I will get a job

For a reason, I only had Holland, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and Portugal for the first season but now there will be most of the European leagues (including Croatia two top divisions!) and several American and Asian leagues.
