Thanks mate, lets hope I am at the club for longer than one year :)
thought they'd at least offered you a 3 year contract after all you did. ;P Bring on next season!

I was shocked when I only signed a 1 year deal! Hopefully, by the end of the season they will have enough confidence in me to offer me a long-term contract.
Looking forward to the new season like to see pompey back in the EPL :) keep it up!

So am I :D
really good read, well done :)
Is this real pompey story? Is it realy being run by suporters? I am curious because my home team Vilniaus Zalgiris (Lithuania) has similiar story. In 2009 our club's owner was convicted and club almost extincted, but fans (Pietu - IV ultras) recreated club and donated money for club every month. We had to cover all expenses including salaries, trips to away games, stadium loan etc. However our club reached new highs, this year we managed to reach last round on Europa league qualification and finaly after 14 years last saturday we became champions of Lithuania. Sorry for this offtopic story but i feel the connection between my club story and the problems that Pompey are having. Good luck with youe story and if you are club fan in real life keep faith in your heart and luck will come, because fans is the main power in football.

Yes, I do support Pompey and the fans really do own the club.
We are the largest fan owned club in Britain :D
But we used to be a top-half BPL team and won the F.A. Cup in 2008 and competed in Europe in 2009 but the club was sold to fraud owners, we went into administration and suffered multiple relegations. Thankfully, we were saved :)
The full story will be on the internet as many dodgy things happened to the club in the last couple of years and it would be a long post if I was to tell you everything that happened.
Hopefully though things are on the up :)
Some really nice signings, Matt especially (due to his experience at Olympiakos and Blackburn) could be a really good player for you, I hope you get promoted to the Championship!
