I'm still confused about tutoring my youngsters
There are 3 available interaction in player interaction

1. State that that the "senior" as the ideal model for the youngster"
2. State that the "youngster" would benefit by adopting "senior's" approach to the game
3. State that "youngster" can learn from "senior"

Does it have the same effect??
in FM 2008, I'm only used the first option, to give my youngster preferred moves from his mentor..
so what about the other two?
i think it determines how long the senior player will be tutoring the youngster for. No. 1 being the most, no.2 being in between and No. 3 for a short time.

i think i seen this in another thread somewhere

that's a good question.

I usually look at how players are compared to each other. E.g. I told Camacho that Flamini was the ideal model for him because the are very alike.

Then again I told another youngster to learn from Cristain Rodriguez even though they are very different from each other, but both have great crossing and freekicks and hopefully my youngster could improve those stats. Though it didn't show on his stats you could see the effect in the matches.

The middle option I'm not sure about but maybe it works if you have a youngster with an unprofessional or unambitious mentality and the set him to learn from an ambitious or professionel senior???? :con

HE SUCKS!!!

I NEED TO GET RONALDO!!!! "

HELPP!!!!
Kwadwo, you're on the wrong post but thats fine, welcome to fmscout! Ireccomend u just ditch real madrid and go to arsenal. :) you wont ever need ronaldo there.

try the general fm scout stuff for these types of posts
actually there is no thread on fm 09 section with this elaborate question =P

i dont know how this affects though.

i only do the players i really want to, or that i see it will work.

for an example at AIK i have Pierre Bengtsson. And i made him learn from Daniel Tjernström.

Both are similar type of players and it works fine with both.

I remember doing a lot of the tutoring stuff before.

some older players will love to "coach" younger players, which is a good thing.
especially those who think of becoming a coach or manager later on, they would love to tutor someone. it can also raise their game a bit.
