Dear Diary,

My dream has finally come true. I always wanted to manage a team in a top flight but never thought that my favorite team will come knocking. I will be in charge of the mighty reds. Evans, Daglish, Paisley, Benitez and Shankly did great for the club. Can I do the same?

I got offered Euro31,000 per week for a job I would do for free. Today I met Thomas Wermer, he immediately welcomed me to the club and discussed the season ambitions.

• Continental Qualification
• Play Attack and possession football
• Sign Young players for the first team

To help me in doing so approximately Euro17 million have been given as transfer budget. This is going to be difficult, I am not very accustomed to finding young players. This is definitely a challenge.

I conducted my first team talk, everybody seems happy with the exception of Henderson and Wisdom. Hope I can win them over.

This is my first time doing something like this. Also please give me feedback on what you want to see

Dear Diary,

Today was a bad day, had to terminate the loan of Moses and some of the coaching stuff. Moses was did not enter in my playing style but still is difficult to tell a player you are not needed.

I really needed to find a striker and a midfielder, the only problem was that they need to be young. Klose could have easily joined us, but managed to find a decent striker from Real Madrid, Jese. I do not want to sell other players thus I decided to place them on loan. I am finding it very difficult to fire people.

yeah well done mate keep up doing the write thing. try and get kurt zouma he is french, plays center defence, plays for AS Saint-Etienne. you could get him for £5-15 millon? He is a beasty player though worth every penny!!!

My harddisk stopped working so I replaced it. Now I can continue with the story. Please note I had to start a new game but did exactly the same staff signings. I signed Adam Campbell from Newcastle instead of Jese. Also please note that it might take some time to upload results as I normally play on comprehensive. So here it goes....

Dear Diary,

Finally I had my first win after a loose and a draw. I know it is still pre-season but it is always nice to win.

1st game was away against Danish side FC Midtjylland. We dominated the game but lost 2-1. Aspas scored and we hit the post 7 times. Johnson got a straight red.

2nd game we played away against French side PSG. Again we dominated the game but only managed to draw 0-0. Again 3 posts hit and if only Sturridge finished one of his chances we could have clearly won.

3rd game we played amateur club Castell Alun Colts. We won this game fairly easily 10-0. A positive is that no woodwork has been hit. Suarez, Sturridge(2), Aspas, Johnson, Agger, Kane(2), Cissokho and Enriques scored.

We have a chance to win our first trophy, even though it is just a friendly cup, I really want to win it. It can boost the morale of the players and improve my position in the eye of the board after I was nearly sacked. Sish who knew that when the board declines addition transfer funds, it is not acceptable to leak it to the press. Well what was worse is that I criticized their lack of ambition on TV. At least I managed to sweet talk out of this situation.

Dear Diary,

We managed to win the Cup but I am not happy. We are being denied by the post too much and wasting a lot of clear cut chances. In the last 4 pre season games we hit the woodwork an astonishing 13 times. Apart from that Gerrard, Sturridge and Alen got injured.

Anyhow the remaining pre season matches went as following:

4th game we played French outfit ESTAC Troyes (cup semi final). We won the game easily 4-1.
Suarez(2), Sturidge and Johnson scored. Wisdom also scored an own goal.

5th game we played away to Brazilian outfit Heracles. We dominated and won 3-0. Again Johnson and Sturridge scored. Agger also opened this scoring account.

6th game we played France's OM. Although we dominated the game we lost 1-0.

last game of pre season we played Atletic Madrid. We dominated from start to finish winning 3-0. Henderson, Suarez and Campbell scored.

Campbell is turning into a nice buy.

I am both looking forward and scared to the start of the season can we perform our objectives?

I don't think you will be able to get into the champions league your going stay in that 5th or 6th in your first season good luck mate for the season ahead. Also try and sign Matic From Benfica and sell Lucas Livea and Joe Allen thats it I am Managing Liverpool. Thats what I've done in my Liverpool save and I came 5th.
