Speaking with Beckham

Hello, and welcome to a special interview on BBC sport, where today we will be talking to new Leicester City manager David Beckham.
First of all David, how are you?
Very good thank you.
Ok, so first, David, congratulations on getting the job here at Leicester. What attracted you to this wonderful club?
Probably, just my passion for football really, and Leicester have always been a team I have admired. What Pearson did here was brilliant and I want to succeed him in bringing glory to this football club.
Also, this is the first time you have spoken in the press about your new job, why didn't you speak to anyone sooner?
Well, the board wanted it to be a surprise for the fans and they wanted the new manager to be officialy revealed just before the first game against Middlesborough and I couldn't exactly go against their wishes.
You have also brought Kenny Dalglish into the club! Can you tell us, why Kenny?
well, Kenny is a great guy and he has had a magnificent footballing career, he has won so many trophies such as the premier league and the European cup many a time! not forgetting all of the first division titles and cups he won as a player, and a manager and I think he's the perfect person to help guide me and my players to glory.
Why not Sir Alex?
Well, why would I bother? Look, he brought me into the footballing world and without him there would be no David Beckham, I had the utmost respect for him until he brought out that pathetic book of his. He slated so many of his players, and other teams players. i.e. Jordan henderson and Gerrard. When he has no right! he even slated many managers such as Mark Hughes and Brendan rodgers. It wasn't his place and you can't comment on other players abilities when they dont even know you. They dont train with you, they dont play for you so why waste your time? That book has ruined him, I even hear United fans slating him for it.
Strong words there! Moving on, what did you think of your pre-season and what are your hopes for the coming season?
Well, I thought it was fairly decent two great wins for us and a dissapointing loss, I do feel our defence let us down and they will have to buck their ideas up in further championship games, and im confident they will. As for the season ahead, I want promotion. Many people would call me crazy but last year we were very unluck versus Watford and I believe this year we can take the next step, to win the title would be amazing
Ok, well thank you David, all the best!
Thank you! Goodbye!
