JANUARY
Tranmere 2-2 Wolves
Not a great way to start the new year but two brilliant goals from Sako at least gave us a point. The next two months are going to be key in whether we are going to get promoted or not.
Peterborough 3-2 Wolves (FA Cup 3rd Round)
Peterborough are the thorn in our side again but the FA Cup means nothing to us this season and therefore I am going to let the result slide. To be honest them scoring in the last minute was a bit of a bonus as a replay would not of been ideal.
Gillingham 1-1 Wolves
This result I can’t let pass. We should of destroyed Gillingham with how we played. Created loads of chances and did not allow them a lot of the ball. Going behind so early on was poor and shows a complete lack of concentration. This month needs to pick up quickly.
Wolves 1-2 Preston
Well well well. I don’t really know what to make of this result. The performance was fantastic and one of our best. However things just didn’t go our way and we ended up with a defeat. We are still 7 points clear so I cant be too unhappy.
Crawley 0-2 Wolves
Back on track! Its odd how results go considering this is probably are worst display this month but we end of going home with all 3 points. We have some games remaining and we need wins to make a bold statement of intent.
Wolves 1-0 Bristol City
Playing most of the game with 10 men makes these 3 points feel that much better. We were so resilient in our defending and we finally get two clean sheets in a row.
Oldham 1-1 Wolves
So disappointing. Great Performance and restricted them to only one shot on goal which they somehow scored late on.
Summary
Not great results but we did have 4 away games which we went unbeaten so in the end it wasn’t bad. The preston defeat was somewhat annoying. Still 8 points clear at the top though
