I have absolutely no idea whether this story will be enjoyable, will attract attention, or be successful, but I have to admit I'm extremely excited about this save.
So why Newport County? After their 25 year absence from the Football League, and are back, due to a man known as Les Scadding, who won 45.5 million squid in the EuroMillions, and kickstarted the club back into business.
Pretty remarkable story eh?
The third Welsh club side to enter the Football League (Swansea and Cardiff being the others) so I thought it would be pretty decent if I could attempt to follow in their footsteps.
Predicted to finish 24th, won't be easy from the word go, but I'm raring to give it a bang and see what Newport County can come up with.
