Hello FMScout!

Last time round i didn't have the best year on FM, tactics didnt work for me, player wouldn't sign etc. So in my eyes FM13 was a massive flop. But as some as you may remember i did a save at the mighty Vanuatu. It went ok but this time round im going hit FM hard. So lets get on with it.

Who Am I?

As you can tell i have decided to do this save as the Colombia National side, they have a decent team to start out with but i want to make them into world beaters.

Challanges

Along side being the manager of Colombia i want to become the greatest manager of all time, i will try and win as many top leagues around the world starting with leagues in South America. I will start with the Lesser nations (if i can get a job) and work my way to the best manager of all time. Wish me luck!
Good start, looking forward to this!!

News just in that the Colombian manager, José Néstor Pékerman has been found dead at his home in Colombia. This news has just been brought to us by News Colombia, we are still waiting on news to tell us what has happened.

During his playing career José Néstor Pékerman had a very successful time. He played from 1970 to 1974 for Argentinos Juniors scoring 12 goals in 134 matches. He was transferred to Independiente Medellín, in Colombia, where he scored 15 goals in 101 matches. But he suffered a career threating knee injury which forced him to retire.

José then went onto coaching. He started out coaching at youth level at Chacatita Juniors, Argentinos Juniors, Colo-Colo from 1981-1994. He made the move to Argentina U-20s where he managed for 7 years before take time out.
When coming back to managing José became manager of his home nation Argentina. José lead Argentina to the 2006 world cup where he saw his side beaten by Germany in the Quarter-finals. After the Tournament he handed his Resignation in.
For the last 5 years of his career José Managed at Toluca, Tigres and Colombia.

José will be sadly missed in the world of football.
I am a big follower of South American football, so of course I will follow. One question, though, why is the writing blue? :P

We bring you breaking news this hour that José Néstor Pékerman’s son José Néstor Pékerman Jr has taken the Colombian national team job. We are being told that José Jr found his fathers will and within it, it said that José would like his son to become the manager of any team that José was at.

After many long hours Colombia and José Jr came to some agreement on his contract to carry on his dad’s legacy at Colombia. All smiles as José left the build where the meeting was staged.
José had a brief footballing career where he played for Bradford City’s u18s before calling an end to his career as he want to become a ‘taxi driver’ in Colombia. The 25 year old will be set to start his managing career on the 1st January 2013.
Interesting appointment :P

Have fun with their squad: Falcao, Jackson Martinez, Fredy Guarin, James Rodriguez etc.

In Falcao I trust

José Jr full backed Falcao in a recent interview, he said “Falcao is the main man of this team he will be my number one while ever his international career goes on. I want him to know that he is a key part of my tactics here and I want him to go into managing alongside me when his career comes to an end”

José Jr also added that he is proud to carry on the Pékerman legacy in football management and that he wants to thank everyone involved with the Colombia FA for giving him this amazing chance.

In other news, Colombia have organised three friendly for the international break in June. Colombia will play Greece, Guadeloupe and Vanuatu away from home.

Northwood - Thanks and ill give it a watch later

Colombia v Paraguay – World Cup Qualifiers (SAM)

Colombia 3
– Abel Aguilar (4) and Falcao (41, 48)
– Cristian Zapata (43)

Paraguay 2
– Roque Santa Cruz (63) and Aureliano Torres (67)

Managers Notes

For my first game in charge I am so happy with the boys, we played amazing through the game. Paraguay did start to come back after the sending off but we were a string enough team to defend and finish the game as winners.
