A miracle for Paris FC!

Nearly one month after the confirmation of their relegation to CFA (4th tier), Paris FC 2000 is coming back in National and consequently will keep their status of league veterans. The supporters will thanks Sedan FC and their critical financial situation which resulted in a club's retrogradations to CFA.

Paris FC isn't the first club since the end of the season who learned that they will play a new season in National despite finishing in the relegation spot last season. Uzès-Pont-Du-Gard and FC Bourg-Peronnas finished respectively 16th and 17th in the league last year but Rouen's and Le Mans's retrogradations to DH (6th tier) saved them from the relegation.

"The players must stay focused"

'It really is a great news for the club and for me, declared PFC's gaffer Alex Sonwild. I thought I would start my managerial career in an amateur league and finally we are back in the semi-professional league.
'Yet the players must stay focused. We will enter the league with the status of a relegated team. They were part of an awful season and they will have to do better, whatever the competition or the opponent.
'We won't change our pre-season program but our transfer policy will surely be different. Now we can attract better players because of our semi-professional status. And we should also be able to convince some players to stay.'

Earlier this week, the club revealed their friendlies fixtures for the preseason. As indicated by Sonwild, there shouldn't be any changes. Here is the program:

Good luck against Ajax

Thanks m8, I will need a lot of luck to at least get a draw :P
For this game I'm just hoping not to concede to much ;)

Preseason Update

During the preseason we are playing five games. We will start by an opposition with our reserve squad that we should win without any problem. We will then have a difficult match against Ajax Amsterdam. It will be a great honour to receive this legendary club. Our next opponent (Racing Colombes) are playing in a lower division and it will be a game we will have to win.
Ligue 2's Chamois Niortais is a higher division team but I'm sure we can get a result at home, and the final game away at Drancy (CFA, 4th tier) is also a winnable match.

Paris FC - Paris FC Reserve

As expected we clearly dominated this game. The first half could have been better, but the players put a magnificent display in the second half which secured our victory.

Paris FC - Ajax Amsterdam

What a performance! We can be proud of standing up to the Dutch champions so long. Not only our defence was solid and our goalkeeper made several fine saves, but we were able to create danger in the Ajax box until the end of the match. It was finally the quality on the bench which proved the difference between the two teams.
One player was impressing: Amine Kachour. He already manage to impress me on FM12, and his performance with the reserve against us last week convinced me to bring him in the first team today. He only seemed to progress and he will be part of the first team plans.

Racing CF Colombes - Paris FC

For my third game in eleven days at the club, I rotated quite a lot the squad but a victory is still the only result I can accept.
The players were very creative today and I was surprised with the high quality of our passing. We should have scored more but we still have a bit of time to work on this aspect of our game. Our defence and midfield already seems ready for the season.
The best player today was without a doubt my 14 year old recruit, Bilal Dubois. On FM13 only few of my players were able to dominate the midfield as he did today. They were the likes of Yaya Toure or Xavi and Iniesta. I spotted Dubois during France trial day and after that I worked hard to bring him here. For his first appearance with a Paris FC shirt he delivered a superb assist to another player I discovered on the same occasion, Loïc Hauchecorne.

Paris FC - Chamois Niortais

It was a very strong Niort side which came to Paris this afternoon. And as we started the game with quit a weak line-up, we were clearly outclassed. But the team which played the 20 last minutes was clearly superior and our substitutes gained important points before the season.

JA Drancy - Paris FC

Assane Sali, Paris FC's third goalkeeper, hoped he could rely a bit more on his defence for his first appearance under Sonwild. But he didn't have this luck and had a difficult game to play. He was lucky not to concede in the first half but two of his errors allowed Drancy to come back from 2-0 down to 2-2. However it was finally Paris FC who come top, and Assane Sali even made a vital save before his team scored the fourth and last goal.

I'm pleased with our preseason. We only lost to superior sides including Ajax Amsterdam. We were even close to draw with the Dutch champions. I'm happy with amount of young players who played and they all had great performances. And I'm sure we are ready for the upcoming season!

Finally a huge thanks to Lucas we did the banner for my story! :D

If you still want one :P
