Great Bale article. You are one of my favorite writers here. So many dynamics to your stories that I wish I could do but mine wouldn't be that great.
Good win and is bale showing he's not the cocky arrogant twat we think he is? Good on you bale:P
@Bayern: Thank you so much, I really appreciate your words! I try my best with stories so its always nice when people tell me they like what I'm doing.

@Aaron: A bit like C.Ronaldo! Everyone thinks he's arrogant but there's a humble side to him!

Scrap the attitude and you'll be the best!

Southampton manager, Matt Le Tissier has given a piece of "friendly" advice to his Italian striker Pablo Osvaldo, regarding his highly controversial attitude, the attitude that lead to him being sold to Southampton. According to reports, AS Roma were fed up with the striker. They appreciated his talent but they failed to tolerate his attitude.

Osvaldo and his fellow international, Mario Balotelli are very similar however, one is working hard to get rid of his horrible attitude while one is still suffering because of his attitude. Le Tissier has been speaking to Osvaldo about his attitude and claims that if the Italian can scrap it, he could be the best striker in the premier league. According to our sources, Le Tissier used Balotelli as a good example.

Meanwhile, AS Roma captain, Francesco Totti has spoken out about Osvaldo's time at Roma:

"Pablo was a good guy but very bad boy at the same time. He is a very good striker who can score goals, I hate to boast but he reminds me of myself when I was some years younger. Us Italians have the stubborn attitude naturally, but when you get to the pitch, you must learn how to leave your bad attitude at home if not it will ruin your football, that is what happened to him.

I remember on many occasions, sitting him down and telling him to scrap his attitude before he's too late. At age 27 as a striker you are nearing your peak, the time of your life (football career) and its best to make most of it. If he can change at his new club, then he will be one of the greatest strikers in the world. If he cannot change, then he will be yet another wasted talent.
"

With Southampton's current formation, which is a 4-3-3 only one striker will be able to start, and the other will either find himself on the bench or playing as an attacking midfielder. Currently it has been Rickie Lambert who has gotten the nod from Le Tissier to lead the attack while Osvaldo has played as an inside forward. Osvaldo will need to do a lot to kick Lambert out of that position, or else he could find himself being frustrated at St.Mary's.

Was Le Tissier right to warn Osvaldo about his attitude, could Osvaldo really be one of the best in the world? Will Osvaldo scrap his attitude?
Looks like such a dick in that photo :') Nice update mate

@Nick: I won't sell him of course, just won't start :P Thanks :D

Saints looking good!

It's been a brilliant start to the season from us, I couldn't have asked for anything better than what I've been given from the lads. In each game, everyone has given it their all showing the love they have for the club. We've played 8 games, won 5, drawn 1 and lost 2. All in all I'm happy!

You see, you must remember that we are still quite new to the premier league. We only just got promoted last season so for us to be doing so well at the moment, it really is a fascinating thing. The club is developing as each day goes by and its amazing to be part of such. I think I'm settling in very well, there are no major concerns and I'm just happy to be here.

In terms of our football, we've been very good. We're going into each game wanting to win and not playing for a draw. We're going into each game wanting to attack and not defend and hit on the counter attack. Our determination and passion is second to none at the moment, I just hope we can keep this up throughout the season!

We've played some tricky games so far, for example against West Ham and Tottenham we suffered. Injuries played a huge toll and on the day they were the better sides. Unfortunately we are out of the Capital One Cup due to the defeat to Tottenham.

Fixtures and Results

As you can see, in the premier league we have been doing very well. In the fixture against West Ham we were quite unlucky and perhaps us going down to 10 men so early affected our team performance.

Our best performance was definitely against Swansea City. We completely tore them apart in the midfield, which is not easy to do with such a great passing side. We really should have scored more and easily could have been 5-0 or even 6-0.

The fixture vs Crystal Palace was a tricky one. With injuries and some players playing with knocks we had to be very careful with how we would approach the game. Luckily, we left Selhurst Park with a point as they easily could have gotten all three.

League Table

In the league we are doing tremendously well! We were actually first until our defeat at the hands of West Ham. With us only being two points behind Chelsea, there is no reason why we can't be level on points with them or even overtake them!

Injury News

The following players are injured: Adam Lallana(4-5 weeks torn groin), Rickie Lambert(2-3 weeks twisted knee), Paul Gazzaniga(4-5 days back strain). The injuries two Lambert and Lallana in particular are concerning as they are crucial members of the team, we wish them a speedy recovery.

Upcoming Fixtures

With us playing both Manchester United and Liverpool, we will have to be at our best to get anything out of both games. Despite the notable absence of Sir Alex, United are still a very good side who can be very dangerous. We will go out to win and see what we end up with.

Player of the month

Gaston Ramirez
Gaston has been superb this month. He puts in a lot of hard work in training and it shows in games. On numerous occasions he has been the difference between us drawing and us winning. Congratulations to Gaston!
Just noticed I reached 1000 views, thanks for all the support guys :)

Osvaldo: Its my time to shine!

Following the injury to his fellow striker, Rickie Lambert and a "friendly" warning from Matt Le Tissier his manager, it seems that Pablo Osvaldo is starting to understand that he will have to scrap his attitude and actually fight for a place in the Southampton lineup, especially if he wants the role as the only striker.

With Lambert out for a couple of weeks, Osvaldo is set to start 4 or 5 games as the main striker, giving him a huge chance to impress Le Tissier and possibly push Lambert of that starting spot. The Italian striker knows this as in an interview with Sky Sports Italia he said:

"It is unfortunate that he (Rickie Lambert) is injured. It is a bit of a bad thing for the club but I am ready to step up and fill up the gap. I want to play so well, that he won't even be missed by the fans, the players or the boss. I believe its my time to shine! Hopefully in the next few games, I can score some goals and put in some very good performances. I haven't quite settled into the league, but I will get there."

Unfortunately for Lambert and Lallana, there chances of being called up to the England squad for the upcoming friendlies has been dashed as they're both out on the sidelines. Osvaldo however, will join up with the Italy squad very soon but will surely have Southampton on his mind.

Is this the time for Osvaldo to prove himself as a quality striker once and for all?
Nice to go to 4-1-1 in the Premier League, although drawing at Crystal Palace is annoying. Also, a great update about Osvaldo, hopefully he can step up! Also, I appreciate how mature your story has been compared to past ones. :P

I must say I am very pleased with how the teams been doing in the league, wasn't expecting us to be in the first 6. With some tricky fixtures coming up, it will be a real test to see how good this side is. Thanks for the feedback :)
Good results, will be nice to see the Saints go to the UCL
