Introduction

Hey guys, this will be my new story, with Zenit...as if you hadn't already guessed!
Two days ago I got my new PC and FM is running better than ever, but I have had to end my Poland story, because when I saved to the cloud on my last PC, whatever I do It won't appear on my new one. It is annoying as I was enjoying the save and I thought I could've gone very far.

Anyway, I will be trying to take Zenit to the top in this story, everything is set out for me, I have the money and a decent team that can already challenge for the Russian first division. However, there are a few things that aren't already there, they consist of; European success/Glory, and a solid youth team/recruitment.

So what are my goals I have set out for myself? Well...
  • Win as many trophies/cups as possible
  • Win the champions league in the next 6-7 years (This may sound a long time, but this is honestly how bad I am at FM:P
  • Bring up many young and brilliant Russian youngsters.
  • Become the Russian manager and bring glory to Russia.

Thanks for reading the first update will follow shortly!:D
So, are you going to listen to the fans and sign only white players? :P

Hardy announced as Zenit manager

Welcome, Sky Sports viewers, we here at SSN have just received some breaking news,Former England international Aaron Hardy has been announced as the new Zenit St Petersburg manager, it was obvious he was looking for a job at the heart of a team, but what we didn't expect was it to be this far away from home. It was only last week Spalletti was relieved of his duties and it seems Hardy pounced on to the job, as have the Zenit board.

Zenit's board did release a statement...here is what they had to say; We are absolutely delighted Mr Hardy agreed to a contract with us, he was a great player for club and country and we believe he can become an amazing manager for club...and who knows, maybe even country? We would like to thank all of our fans for being so patient, Aaron will enter a press conference within the next two days and talk about his plans for our beloved Zenit...For the glory Zenit!

The press conference

Afternoon, Aaron, How has your first day been here at zenit?

Very good thank you, I have met the team, worked out some tactics, I already have a plan set out.

Very good. What are your plans for the coming season?

To win the league. Some may say that's to ambitious for my first season but Zenit should always be up there and in the champions league places!

It's been said that your youth and training facilities are going to be upgraded, as well as an increased wage budget...Are these reports true?

They are indeed, I can't reveal details on the wage budget but lets just say I have a fair amount to play with. As for the facilities, it just shows how much the board want to press on and push for glory, it shows theirs and my determination to take this club to the top.

You think you're capable of taking this club forward?

Yes.

Just...yes?

Yes.

Ok? Well, lets move on to transfers...Everyone knows of Zenit's riches, are you looking to sign anyone soon?

Well, obviously...this team is very much the 'unfinished article' and it'll take a lot of hard work to bring glory into the club and attract good players.

Ok, cheers Aaron.

Thank you all very much.

Transfers

Zenit made four fantastic signings this summer, all of which are expected to be thrown into the first team, here they are;

Ander Herrera

CA:
PA:

Keisuke Honda

CA:
PA:

Timo Horn

CA:
PA:

Jese Rodriguez

CA:
PA:

In my opinion, these are some fantastic signings and I can't wait to field them all, Jese and Herrera have potential to become really good players as does Horn, an Honda should hopefully add a bit of experience to the midfield.
Great signing in Jese and Herrea! :D Don't forget that awful foreign players rule though, screwed me up on more than one occasion.
Ahh mate...I thought it was a 'no more than 3 non EU players' rule...fuming when I found out what it really was! haha, ah well!
Great signings there! Looking good for the season now.

I probably sound really stupid, but what is this rule? :)

July - Topping the table!

Russian super cup

Zenit vs CSKA Moscow

This a match I thought was possible to win, however...at the end of the game we ran out the losers. There are so many factors we could use as excuses and those factors are probably the reason we lost.
We started off the game with many injuries and no depth on the bench, I was also thrown into this game 3 days after I had joined the club, we were 1-0 up for most of the game but fatigue got the better of us as Doumbia scored a lucky (Yes it was lucky) goal in the 89th minute, and it wasn't long before CSKA scored again to win the cup.

Russian Premier Division

Zenit vs Tom

The next game was against Tom, and we put our annoyances to bed by demolishing them 9-0!!!
Centre back, Lombaerts showed the strikers how to score, getting four of the 9 goals scored, Hulk, Jese and Kerzhakov also added to the scoreboard.

Rostov vs Zenit

After a comfortable 9-0 win, I was obviously confident of a win against Rostov, we got the three points but not as comfortably as the last game, although it was a very good result winning 3-1, Lombaerts even scored making it 5 in two games for him! Kerzhakov also got his second goal of the season.

Zenit vs Rubin Kazan

Our first real test in the league this season came against Rubin, although once again we thrashed our opponents 4-1 putting ourselves top of the table and our goal difference has gone through the roof!

Champions league play offs

Zenit vs Grasshoppers

So we set ourselves a 100% record this month finishing it off away to grasshoppers winning 2-1 and getting the all important away goals, Lombaerts scored once again and has now got 8 goals this season in all competitions (He scored two against Rubin as well).

Monthly review
A fantastic month for Zenit, going unbeaten and winning ever game, we even scored 19 goals throughout the month, and our solid centre back Lombaerts scored 8 of them! A fine month, To putting ourselves top of the league on nine points.
Player of the month
POTM will go to Lombaerts this month, as if there was any doubt, he scored 8 out of our 19 goals and has stayed very strong at the back, I can't wait to see what he can do next month, we have some hard games coming up and we need him and his strength to shoulder off other threats!

Team of the month also came through...
Going to be following this mate! Good signings there btw! :)
Cheers mate!:D
