Ancelotti takes Italy Job



Carlo Ancelotti has today announced that he will be leaving Real Madrid to take the vacant Italy job. Ancelotti, who played 26 games for Italy during his senior career believes it should be every managers dream to become the manager of their country. Ancelotti believes that the Real Madrid board will appoint the right man and says the squad he has left behind are a group of 'winners'

This means Real Madrid will be on the search for a new manager. Various managers names have popped up with strong rumours going around that Roberto Mancini will take the lead role at Real Madrid. Mancini has sparked more rumours when questioned by saying 'anything can happen'. Another manager heavily linked with the vacancy is current Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp. Real Madrid are not giving any hints away on who the successor could be.




A former player will be next Manager


Florentino Pérez has given a huge hint away to whom the next manager is going to be by stating that it will be a former Real Madrid player. The fans of Real Madrid are excited by the news as a manager who knows the club well will be appointed. Now the odds on favorite to become manager is David Beckham, after he was pictured in Madrid. Beckham was a fan favorite in Madrid playing over 100 games for the spanish giants. Beckham announced his retirement from football at the end of last season and has stated numerous time that the next step in his career is to become a manager


Other former stars that have been linked with the vacant job are, Luis Figo, Raul, Fabio Cannavaro, and former Mexican striker Hugo Sánchez. Current Real Madrid star Pepe believes that making a former player manager is a risky decision, but also feels that the Real Madrid chairman knows what he is doing



Roberto Carlos New Real Madrid Manager



Former Real Madrid left back Roberto Carlos has been announced the new Real Madrid Manager! Carlos played over 300 games for the Madrid side and was often known for his free kicks. Carlos was part of a side that won the league 4 times. Carlos has spoken to sky sources about his delight at being appointed new manager.'It is a dream come true to manage a side as big as Real Madrid.The fans are brilliant here at Madrid and the squad is definitely a title winning squad.I hope to repay the fans for the support they gave me here as a player by winning as much silverware as possible.

Marcelo, Real Madrids Brazilian left back, who in the past has been compared to Roberto Carlos believes that Carlos can lead the club to european glory.'When growing up, he was the player I wanted to be. Week after week he made a name for himself. Hopefully he can lead this club to the same glory it had when he was playing'.
