After the Kansas game, Toronto were struck by a short and fortunately not too costly goal drought. This drought saw them take part in two scoreless draws against Philadelphia Union and Chicago Fire respectively. Both games were fairly even and chances were in short supply. Pairpoint's boys felt like they probably could have nicked three points in both games but with chances at a premium they just couldn't capitalise on some prolonged periods of posession.
Pairpoint was well aware that he would have to sort out his teams lack of goals and would have to do so in double quick time. His next four games saw him take on New York Red Bulls and Houston Dynamo twice.
The first game of these two reverse fixtures saw Will's men travel to the Big Apple for a ding-dong battle which ended in a 3-2 victory for Toronto, thanks to a fantastic hat-trick from English winger Jon Sims.

Next up was a visit from Houston Dynamo and their former Everton right back Seamus Coleman. Who would have the tough task of keeping rampant winger Jon Sims quiet. Houston dominated for most of the game and had a couple of clear cut chances which they should have converted. Instead it was Pairpoint's Toronto side that emerged 2-1 victors after another goal from Sims and a sweet strike from Matias Laba. This result would have given Pairpoint a great deal of satisfaction as his team had showed him that they could grind in results in tough circumstances.

After having beaten both sides already Pairpoint was confident of taking the maximum twelve points from the four games against the two sides. Jon Sims was again on the scoresheet as Toronto scraped a 2-1 victory at home against New York.
Between that game and the next meeting with Houston Pairpoint was keen to reinforce his strike force with new signing Sasa Aleksic struggling for form. He turned to another Iranian, this time a striker who had his doubters by the name of Naser Omidi, Pairpoint claimed he could see that Omidi had the necessary skill set to flourish for Toronto.
A debut goal from the penalty spot against Houston meant that the Toronto fans took an instant liking to the young Iranian. He helped Toronto to a comfortable 4-1 victory along with a well taken brace from flourishing Argentinian Matias Laba.
