Historical Background
At this moment, Bulgaria is a lowly European country riddled in poverty and corruption. These harsh conditions have been a great toll on the once-respectable football team that produced legends such as Berbatov, Stoichkov, Balakov, and Petrov. These days, the 1994 World Cup semi-finalists are ranked 76th in the world and have recently failed to qualify for the World Cup.
The Manager
Daniel Vogler is a German manager born to a German father and a Bulgarian mother. Growing up, he spent his summer vacations watching his grandfather's favorite team in the world, CSKA Sofia, tear up the Bulgarian league with some scintillating play. However, their spell of dominance has dried up and they haven't won a league title since 2008. Now, having acquired his FIFA Coaching License, Vogler decided it was time to take a foray into football management. Being widely respected in the footballing world despite his tender age of just 26 years old, the German had no shortage of offers. But when the phone rang and the Chairman of CSKA called with a job offer, he knew he had to take it.
The Goals
Take Charge of CSKA Sofia, Bulgaria's most successful team and import young foreigners, hopefully to sell on for profit.
Use the profits to improve youth and training facilities to improve the level of Bulgarian players.
Qualify for Champion's League
Eventually take over the national team, qualify for the World Cup.
This is my first story on here, so please give me any input on how to make it better. Also, to anyone who has previously played in Europe's smaller leagues, I would greatly appreciate if you'd recommend some signings for less than 400k who'll take less than 4k wages.
