When I try to open the Data Editor in FM2009 I get the following error message.

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
so this is not the original editor?

what exact editor are you trying to use?

It is the editor that comes with the game. I've tried re-installing it but it still shows the same message.
i was using the editor to make 3 new players and i saved the new database as kiderminster cuz that's where i put the new players, but when i try to start a new game, i cant choose kidderminster as a database :dontgetit

can any1 help me and tell me how to access my new database??????????????????????????????????????

it would b much appreciated :)
well, I tried it now myself just to be sure.
I saved new database as ... filled out all empty fields (name, author, description, version).
then I opened FM and hit the New Game button and it was there as an option.
so, there must be something you are not doing?
:con does it matter what you put into the 4 blank spaces?
or do you have to save the database to a certain folder or is it something in d preferences or wat? :con
