Awesome update. Haven't used Richards in FM but he was great for me on FIFA 13 so this should be fun to watch.
Thanks for the comments guys! I think Richards will fit in perfectly. He's a player Arsenal have been looking at in real life too :))
I certainly like Richards more then Sagna! A very good signing!

Arsenal bring in another two players!

Arséne Wenger is starting to convince many that he actually has a war chest of money as he has gone and signed two additional players to try and strengthen his side and add some depth. Davide Santon and Carlos Vela have been signed for fees of 7.5 million and 3.4 million (buy back clause). This is Vela's second spell at Arsenal after he left the club just last year. Obviously, with Wenger in dire need of another striker, Vela was his first choice and most convenient choice.

Santon, the Italian defender is said to have been bought to start at Arsenal. Reports suggest that Wenger was unhappy with his current left backs and sent scouts out to look for a new one, in which they found Santon to be a very good yet underrated player. The Italian didn't hesitate when it came to signing for Arsenal and expressed his delight at being able to play Champions league football:

"Arsenal is a big club and a club I have always respected. I love the way they play football. The champions league is the best tournament in the world, and to be able to play in it will be amazing. The world cup is next year and I would like to be part of the squad that travels to Brazil. When talking to Mr.Wenger he guaranteed me playing time in all competitions not just a few here and there. I know sometimes I will have to rotate but I am looking forward to my future with the club."

Carlos Vela on the other hand, vowed to redeem himself after an unsuccessful first period at the club before leaving:

"During my first spell at the club, things didn't really go to plan. I know I wasn't at my best when Arsenal needed me to step up most, which is why I was allowed to go. The fans would have been frustrated and I hope they can forgive me and support myself and the others players ahead of the new season. I was at the game at Crystal Palace where we won 1-0 and I was impressed with what I saw."

Ghanian midfielder, Emmanuel Frimpong has departed the club and joined Nottingham Forest for a fee of 1.2 million. The midfielder was deemed to be surplus to requirements by Arséne Wenger and therefore he had no choice but to let him go.

Arsenal kicked off their premier league campaign with a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace. English winger Oxlade Chamberlain scored the winner to give the gunners the three points. Arsenal will face FC Red Bull Salzburg in their champions league playoff. Not qualifying for the champions league would be a disaster for the club, but very comical to their rivals.
I am so please to see Carlos Vela back at Arsenal lets hope you get the best out him this time! Love your writing style too
Awesome work on bringing Vela back to Arsenal, looking forward to seeing where you take him :).
Thanks guys! Vela will do just fine ;)

HATTRICK HERO!

What a return into an Arsenal shirt it was for Carlos Vela as the Mexican striker scored an incredible hattrick vs FC Red Bull Salzburg as the Gunners thrashed their opponents 5-0 away from home! The North London side are more or less guaranteed them qualification into this years Uefa Champions League.

Congratulations to Carlos Vela and Arsenal FC!
Good to see the new signing fitting straight in! :)

A new coach and a new leader!

I'm very delighted to announce that an Arsenal legend has joined our coaching staff at Arsenal. The legend goes by the name of Robert Pires. The French winger was a loyal and great servant to the club and we are happy to have him back at the club. Robert will be working with the u18's and occasionally with the first team. His great presence, great knowledge of the game and experience is bound to help teach the youngsters and help increase their rate of development.

We wish him all the best with us! It would be nice if we could get more former players of his calibre into our coaching team.

New Leader

Recently, my coaching staff and myself have been pondering on appointing a new captain as a result of Thomas Vermaelen's recent injuries and poor performances. No doubt, Thomas is a great leader but we believe it is time to appoint a new captain, a player who has shown his passion for the game and love for the club. Age doesn't play a role when it comes to captaincy, Tony Adams was appointed at a very young age and so should this young man.

Many believe he is immature and may not be ready ti step up to the plate. Many may think by appointing him as captain it will ruin his career, I strongly disagree. Therefore, it is with great honour as to announce Jack Wilshere as the new captain of Arsenal Football Club. Thomas has been spoken to and has no problems with being stripped of his captaincy. Mikel is still the vice captain.

It's annoying how damn injury-prone Vermaelen can be!
Seni is back with Arsenal :D I know for certain I'm going to enjoy this story (as ever). Best of luck! UTA!
