Derby - A dream come true!

Derby, head coach, Steve McClaren, was relieved of his duties at Derby county earlier today, after the board of directors at the Rams, revealed that he was to slow to succeed, and they had expected promotion last season when they brought McClaren in to the club. Many fans of Derby have been left baffled by this decision as many of them believed McClaren had a lot to offer the club and promotion wasn't anywhere near a realistic goal for the 2012-13 season. We here at BTSport are also extremely surprised at the sacking, however we think a new manager will be announced with in the next 48 hours so fans of Derby stay tuned.

We also had many fans speak to us, and here is just a few opinions we were given:

George Friar: "Well, I am very surprised at the boards decision to sack McClaren, I wouldn't have done it if I were the board...but the board want what's best for the club and I'm sure they wouldn't have done this if unless they really had to. I also believe we will pick up a gem in the world of football management, someone with a great tactical mind, and a fantastic footballing brain..."

Richard kuhunt: "personally, I would have stuck with McClaren but the board haven't let us down yet and I'm sure they know what they are doing so Derby fans listening, keep the faith...We will be up in the prem soon!"

The favourites for the vacancy at Derby are as follows:
Glenn Hoddle
Alan Shearer
Gus Poyet

Some may argue, these managers aren't the best and haven't exactly got a great track record at previous jobs, however we think that if Derby were to capture Poyet, Ram fans all over would be far from unhappy...stay tuned.
