Neil Lennon resigned

Neil Lennon has today resigned from his post as manager of Celtic FC. The man who was only appointed in 2009, is known to be suffering from depression, and has been assaulted, had problems regarding racial prejudice and even been sent bombs through the post. Lennon today described this stress as, "a murderer of his confidence" and continued to imply that the reason for his resignation was due to his mental health deteriorating.
Many footballers and organisations worldwide have taken to social media to express their condolences for Neil; including Liverpool club captain Steven Gerrard and Alan Shearer

All those in football will agree that this is an extremely sad day, however questions are already underway as to who will take over at the helm, with Celtic's official twitter account leading the speculation.

Many betting companies have also raced to produce the best odds for those looking to gamble on who will takeover at Scotland's biggest side, with Sky Bet widely being considered to be offering the best odds. They state that Fabio Capello is currently the favourite at 5/1 while they also give chances to Roberto Di Matteo, Michael Laudrup and Ernesto Valverde with odds of 9/1, 15/1 and 44/1 respectively.
Good luck mate - will be following!!

There's been some really good Rangers stories on here, so will be interesting to see a Celtic one!
