November

Dijon FCO v. Chamois Niortais FC
7-4

What a match. Julio Tavares had the best match of his life scoring five goals.

FC Metz v. Dijon FCO
0-2

Dijon FCO v. Luzenac Ariege Pyrenees
Coupe de France 7th Round
3-0

Happy that we shut them out but it should have been a higher score.

Dijon FCO v. AS Nancy Lorraine
1-0

Nimes Olympique v. Dijon FCO
1-2

The 14 game Ligue 2 unbeaten streak is over. Very dissapointing but you have to get beat sometime. Hopefully we can regroup and re start the streak.

Overall thoughts

November was a pretty good month in the fact our streak lasted to the last match day. During the month striker Juilo Tavares came out of nowhere as he scored five goals in four league games. I am still pleased with the team and being in second place is not too shabby for a team that was predicted to just miss out of promotion.

Table

December

AS Nancy Lorraine v. Dijon FCO
Coupe de France 8th Round
0-2

Dijon FCO v. Clermont Foot
1-3

FC Nantes v. Dijon FCO
Coupe de la Ligue 4th Round

La Berrichonne v. Dijon FCO
2-1

Overall thoughts

Crap month.

Dijon FCO sign a few players

LIGUE 2
With the 2014 Winter Transfer Window closed struggling Ligue 2 side Dijon have made a pretty radical change with their transfers. It is reported that they spent under €6m during the window. With the League 2 rule of only two non EU players they were able to fulfill that. Will these help or hurt the squad?

Pierre Bourdin
Paris Saint-Germain
€275k

Angers SCO v. Dijon FCO

Dijon FCO v. Stade Brestois 29
2-1

Ademilson made his debut with a goal.

Overall thoughts

Well as a whole month January was not bad at all. A few upsets and a lot of good games. A slip in 5th is a little upsetting but it is still open. Biggest issue was going to penalities against a CFA 2 squad.

Table

11 points...but you can do it! Good luck!

Paris in flames

Djon FCO pull upset against PSG in the French Capital
12/2/2014

Before Tuesday's match between Paris Saint-Germain and Dijon FCO things got a little heated before the teams ever set foot in the stadium. Dijon first year manager Marc-Édouard Gagné was quoted in his weekly press conference, "I have lost all respect for PSG since they became a money club,to me its like kissing your sister, wrong and sick in every way." He would go on saying, "They really fucked over my good friend Kevin(Gameiro), dude was one of the top players on the club but the idiots benched him for Mr.Big Nose." After Zlatan Ibrahimović heard about the quote he put out a statement saying, "Who the hell does he think he is I will show him that I am the king, boy."

For new arrival Pierre Bourdin this match was very meaningful as he got to face former his former club. It was a good day for him as PSG would get beat. It all started when PSG's Thiago Silva allowed new Dijon striker Ademilson to score a very beautiful goal. He (Ademilson) would score his second of the match during the 42nd minute. Finally Edinson Cavani would give the PSG supporters a glimmer of hope with a goal in the 90th. That was all PSG could do as they fall 2-1 against Ligue 2 side Dijon FCO.

Apparently after the match Gagné went over to Ibra to wish him luck for the rest of the season but Ibra was not in a mood calling Gagné a coward and a fool. After the match Gagné told BeInSport "I went up to Ibra to shake his hand and apologize but homie was a disrespectful jackass, he would call me a coward and was a total sore loser." This could be an interesting feud and story line next season as Dijon are on the verge of getting promoted.

Overall thoughts

So the loss to OM sucks but that was a great run. I feel this team will do great in the competition next year. Did you know they had us as the favorites? I found that funny. With two more months left we need to go hard and keep winning. This team can win first place.
