McDermott's Job In The Balance

Source: Yorkshire Evening Post

Last night Leeds United gaffer Brian McDermott, usually a calm and collective personality let burst with allegations against the board refusing to let him have the funds he 'needs' to improve the Whites' league stature. Coming off the back of 2 consecutive defeats to Middlesbrough and Wigan Athletic, this isn't the best time to be having a go at the Leeds board.

McDermott has now been told to get 11 points out of the next 5 games, including the match against Wigan. Leeds have only picked up 6 wins and 4 draws out of 18 games in the Championship and Leeds sit in 15th place with a -11 goal difference and 22 points. If McDermott doesn't manage to get the 11 points which has been ordered by chairman Salah Nooruddin and Managing Director David Haigh he could be given the boot. It's not looking so bright as McDermott was saying a few weeks ago.

McDermott SACKED

Brian McDermott has been sacked by Leeds United Chairman Salah Nooruddin. McDermott's failure to reach the set amount of points total in the last five games has resulted in the club terminating his contract.

McDermott has been manager of Leeds since July 2013. Following Leeds' Championship 0-0 draw with Watford at the weekend, McDermott's side are 16th in the Sky Bet Championship with 23 points from 19 matches. Leeds have lost three of their last five games in the league.

Leeds will now be looking for a new manager.

Pundits in the media are already speculating that manager Mick McCarthy could be tempted to take over the reins at Elland Road if the offer is right. Other managers such as Kenny Jackett, Chris Powell and Michael Appleton are also being linked with the managers job at Leeds...

Brian McMurderer!

former Leeds United boss Brian McDermott has today been arrested at his home in Beeston linked with the murder of Leeds United chairman Salah Nooruddin at Elland Road yesterday. McDermott's wife, Sarah split up with McDermott the night he was sacked according to reliable sources and took his two daughters, Emily and Lianne with her as well. McDermott had just been sacked by Nooruddin and the night after, Nooruddin was found dead on a staircase at Elland Road. Work partners David Haigh, Hisham Alrayes and Salem Patel have sent condolences to Nooruddin's family and will be fighting against McDermott in court after christmas.
