DC Poor intelligence questions

I have a number of regens with very very high potential yet under Weaknesses it mentions that they have "failry poor intelligence on the field....rarely see what's in front of them" OR "poor intell,... lack of movement... easily picked up by opponents".

Is this something that goes away as they get older and more experienced or should I simply offload them and look out for talent with better intelligence?

Poor inteligence is linked to low values in the mental attributes anticipation, composure, creativity, decisions and off the ball. If they have high potential then these attributes should increase with a decent training schedule and shouldn't be a problem.
