Ben Micheals - A Journey

Who I am?

I am Ben Micheals [fictional], I am a 36 year old German born in Hamburg, and I grew up supporting Sankt Pauli and briefly played for them for the first 4 years of my playing career before heading off to France and playing for Lyon for the rest of my career.

I made 12 appearances and 3 goals for Sankt Pauli and 168 appearances and 71 goals for Lyon. So all in all I had a decent playing career.

Which Team am I?

Obviously the two teams I could of picked from were Lyon or Sankt Pauli and I picked Sankt Pauli as my character was born in Hamburg and also supported Sankt Pauli as a boy and he still does. Also my other influence was Sankt Pauli are my Germany team and have strong connections with Celtic FC.

A Side Note

This won't be a story like my previous ones with lengthy writing, this is a story I want to enjoy writing as well as the viewers. Also I will go straight into evaluating the squad and playing pre-season, none of that meeting the chairman and signing a contract bull, this is basically me updating you on my save, not a long-lengthy story.

Evaluating the Squad

In the Goalkeeper department for now I will have Tschauner as the starting keeper, and I will keep Heerwagen and try to get rid of Himmelmann, but I think I will try to get a new starting goalkeeper in.

Wing/Full Backs

LB's

Not much depth in the LB position, but if both players stay fit throughout the season they will do, but maybe I'll look to get a 3rd choice LB in.

RB's

Bernd Nehrig

Good depth and quality here, nothing to be tampered with. Bernd Nehrig first choice RB by a little bit with Kalla just falling a wee bit short from first team football.

Center Backs

I think I would like a bit more depth here, preferably two more back up Center Back's just to get more depth in this position

Good Players in Kringe and Duabe, maybe a couple more CM's needed and I'm selling Kurt.

Wingers

With the depth in this position being quite low I don't think I'll be playing with wingers in my formation so I'll try to sell all, yes even Bartels.

AMC

I'm considering playing with an AMC and getting a 3rd AMC, still undecided about this position.

Overall the games we're ok, 2 wins 1 draw 2 defeats, not bad especially given the quality of the opponents.

Transfers

I tried and tried to get someone in and a few out, but like usual the board were being dicks and not letting me edit the transfer budget and any player I tried to sell no one wanted him. I got a GK tho that's absolute shit. I guess I have to go a season with no good transfers and no money gained.
