2014-01-03 22:17#152795 P-KIDDY : Henderson should be key for you this season so keep him sweet. Interesting to see Aspas impress :P

Hendo is awesome! He doesn't get tired, good creativity and flair, and he can play anywhere, even as a RB!! Aspas is a beast tbh, it seems Suarez will find difficulty to claim first team spot after the ban :D
Wow, a great start mate, keep this up and you'll be flying! I am a Liverpool fan so I will follow with enjoyment, you should also try to centre your Images to give the updates some more sharpness :P Good luck!

First Month in the Dugout

http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02670/Daniel_Sturridge_A_2670727b.jpg
We had a great preseason, although we've shown a bit of defensive shakiness even against the smaller teams. We almost conceded in every match, but frankly, I carry a bit of responsibility for that since I've always focused on Attacking aspects in training. That will have to change soon as I try to get a better grip of the team before the anticipated fixture with our arch-rivals in two months. The last thing I could think of is a humiliating defeat against them.
However, our August fixtures were relatively easy, with games against Crystal Palace, Toquay, Southampton and Fulham.
We went into the games and to my surprise, the players lacked confidence, mispassing often and loses tackles. Our defenders cost us many goals, I even had Luis Alberto score an own goal! Simon Mignolet is doing a great job, and he singlehandedly saved us a lot of points, especially against Fulham.

Crystal Palace - Away - - 3-2 - 3 x Iago Aspas
Southampton - Home - - 2-1 - 2 x Michael Bradley
Toquay United - Home - - 4-1 - 2 x Daniel Sturridge, 1 x Luis Alberto, 1 x Javier Pastore
Fulham - Away - - 2-2 - 2 x Javier Pastore

The games were absolute thriller. At Crystal palace we where 3-0 up at half time, and somehow we lost grip and were outplayed in the second half. At Fulham, we drew twice, and everytime we level, the players get relaxed.
On the bright side, Iago Aspas scored a hattrick on his debut, Pastore, Salah and Bradley all seem to be gelled quickly with the squad. I was proud too of my fellow countryman, Mohamed Salah, winning the Young Player of the Month , and myself runner up to Manager of the Month award. I'll get that award soon, Roberto Martinez...

I am quite satisfied with my first set of results before the international break. Still a lot of work to be done in the next month before the United game! I can't wait...

Player of the month

A very very close call between Pastore and Salah. Pastore was getting better and better, and was an ever present threat on the left flank, and saved us the Fulham game by 2 magnificent goals.
Salah had quite games at the beginning, but then he improved drastically, providing at least an assist every game. The amount of key passes he makes is great too.
Very well done mate, It is extremely difficult to start off well at Liverpool and you have done brilliantly, keep it up!

I've been lucky so far with the fixtures; all the big boys later in the season. Thank you!

A Great Month

A month of change

The 1st Of September was action packed. First, my favourite Henderson is annoyed because I could not fulfill my promise of selling someone. He requested transfer, and was rejected without thought. I've then spoken with Gerrard to try convince Jordan that he is a valued member of the team.
After temporarily solving this debacle, I find another two quite upset, Joe Allen and Mahmadou Sakho, both were overlooked by their countries. I was expecting Allen to be dropped, he wasn't a first team regular anyway, but Sakho deserves a call. His defensive work was top notch, saving the team in many occasions.
During the past months, I've become better and better, and I've felt Colin Pascoe isn't ambitious and skilled enough to help me manage the team. His tactical knowledge is low, usually picks a strange team and provides irrelevant advice.

I can't deny he's helped me a lot, but the club is above all. So with a heavy heart I've ended his contract and secured the services of Ajax second man, Tonnie Brunis Slot. He instantly accepted my generous offer, and I'm happy to get such an experienced man alongside me.

Unbeaten

This month's fixtures were a bit harder than last month. However, I'm confident in the lads, they have shown a lot of defensive solidity in the training sessions. I'm really optimistic about this month. We have to do good job if we are to get the score we'd like from Old Trafford next month.

Swansea - Home - - 3-1 - 2 x Victor Moses, 1 x Aly Cissokho
Newcastle - Home - - 2-0 - 1 x Iago Aspas, 1 x Steven Gerrard
Brighton and Hove Albion - Home - - 1-0 - 1 x Victor Moses
Aston Villa - Away - - 2-0 - 1 x Steven Gerrard, 1 x Victor Moses

The game against Brighton was eagerly anticipated, as it witnessed the return of Kop Favourite Luis Suarez. He lacks match fitness, and I hope he regains it before the top clash against Utd. The team looked confident, we impose our play style on the opponents. They concede a lot of fouls and colored cards. The virtual versions of Moses and Cissokho are much better than the real them. I was not hesitant to give Moses his debut, but when he had his chance against under-performing Swansea, he played magnificently. He scored 2 and had his 3rd ruled offside.

Bit of success

September was a great month for the club. Sadly, no players won anything this month, but on the other hand, I won my first Manger of the month award, grabbing it from Moyes and Wenger.
Take that Moyes!

A match closer and Unexpected praise

The squad's finally trusting me, morale is high in the dressing room. All that separates us and United is a home clash against Spurs. They haven't been great even though they have a very strong and talented squad. However, a bit of review on their tactic analysis, I find they've been quite vulnerable against narrow tactics, so I decided to risk and try a narrow tactic myself.
During the pre match, Andre Villas-Boas have been praising and hailing me. That was a bit unexpected but was nice to hear pleasant comments from fellow managers.
He calls me one of football's finest, well I can see why he was sacked ! :D

The game was very boring, although we had much better of them we just managed to score 1 via Daniel Sturridge late in the game, who was determined to force his way in the English team, which had over 7 Man Utd players!
Some more praise:

We are coming United!

Home sweet home, nothing is more satisfying than leading the table! Nothing now stands between us and Manchester. We'll go to their turf in high spirits, as league leaders and with Luis Suarez! We are confident we'll get a good result against them! I'll hardly sleep until then...

Player of the Month

Victor Moses without doubt. He managed to keep Pastore among the subs, providing lethal passes, crosses and frequent goals. He was the super-sub during Brighton's game. Hope he finds similar form in real life...
Wow! You've got Victor Moses scoring

Thank you! I wouldn't like to lose my first derby... against Moyes!

Another bit of luck

With 12 days to go, Newcastle presents me a huge gift. It may turn up to be the best chance we've ever got this season. They've hammered Manchester at St. James Park, claimed the second spot, and widened the gap between us and Utd to 5 points! Thanks Pardew!
Things seem to be coming along nicely for you. I am confident you can guide Liverpool to the league title. Keep it up! YNWA!
