#1: Tottenham search for manager following AVB departure

After Andre Villas Boas was sacked as Tottenham manager, chairman Daniel Levy has been searching for his replacement - and the wait for news is making Spurs fans slightly anxious about who the new manager may be. Some of the managers linked with the job are Roberto Di Matteo, Rafa Benitez, Steve Clarke, Malky Mackay, Michael Laudrup, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Vincent Tan, Andrrew Walker, Peter Griffin, Gianfranco Zola, William Gallas and Harry Redknapp. However, the favourite - until now - was current caretaker manager Tim Sherwood.
Today, in an interview with Sky Sports News, Sherwood said... "I had a conversation with Daniel [Levy] yesterday only to find out that I'm not in his permanent plans. I'm saddened to hear that I won't be the next permanent Tottenham manager, as I was looking forward to a successful management career, but that's the way it has to be. I've been given no hints as to who the new manager will be, but it's not going to be me."
At this moment, the three favourites for the Tottenham job are Roberto Di Matteo, Michael Laudrup and Harry Redknapp. However, other managers, such as Rafa Benitez, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Malky Macaky are also heavily linked with the job and there'd be no surprises if any of these managers were to take over at Tottenham.
