Southampton Lose Manager

(June 5th, 2013)
Southampton have today announced the departure of manager Mauricio Pochettino, for undisclosed reasons, although some have suggested he was unhappy at the transfer policies being enforced at the club. We wait with baited breath to see who they appoint as his successor...

Southampton Take Gamble!

(June 7th, 2013)
Southampton appear to have taken a gamble with their new manager, announcing the appointment of a female manager, Katy Forrest, who previously played amateur football in Scotland, before giving up on playing the game to pursue a university career. We caught up with Katy to find out what brought her here, though she was completely cryptic, giving us very little.

"I'll be honest guys, Nicola clearly has some sort of agenda here, and I'm hopefully a part of that for a long time. The backroom team here are great, and I'm looking forward to working with them to develop this great club.
Welcome all, to my Southampton Career!

My aim for this game, is to develop a side consisting entirely of Home-Grown players, be that from nation or club. In order to facilitate this ASAP, I took the time to analyse my squad, and created a list of players who would have a part to play.

Overall, It's a decent number of players, although i'm concerned about the strength of my defence. For this season, I was given a transfer budget of £5.64m, and a wage budget of £1m, which I adjusted a few times to take my transfer budget to somewhere around £13m, which allowed me to make a good few signings

Overall, i'm happy with my signings, and slowly keep offloading the non-homegrown players, such as Maya Yoshida.
Next update will contain any further incoming transfers, and pre-season results and thoughts
Good Luck :)

Ok, so pre-season was a mixed bag for us, as the squad struggled to gel, and I struggled to find tactics that fit the team and their relative inexperience. I made some further incoming transfers, as more and more big names left the club.

And the results of pre-season:

Overall, not terrible, but not great either...next update will either be for September/October, or up until December, depending on how quickly I play
Great start, mate! I also make a story with Southampton and GUESS WHAT?
I also sign Connor Hunte, haha.

I've heard tell he becomes an absolute beast...i'm having to put a lot of faith in Youth, cause all the established English players are ridiculously overpriced lol, had a read of your story there, it's looking good :)
Interesting to see another Southampton story. Good luck for the upcoming season.
