That's how my story starts. My ? Who am I ?

I'm a former Italian player. Many of you say I'm a legend but I consider myself just a boy that walked on his road. Firmly walked on his road.

I'm 45 now, but as a footballer I've played kinda' like 647 games for my beloved club. Oh, and I've had 126 caps for my beloved country.

If I had succes ? You can say so..I've won five Uefa Champions League and seven Serie A trophies. Almost forgot about my four World Cup participations.

But all that was as a player. My question right now is: Can I do it as a manager ?

Who am I ? What I intend to do ? Just wait and see..:)

Yes, my friends, my name is Paolo Cesare Maldini and from now on I don't want to be one of the best football players (sorry for my modesty), I want to be one of the best managers around the world. Or maybe the best ? Who knows !

I've missed the game, really, I've tryed to stay away but I simply can't. The feeling is to big to just let it pass. I need to go back.

How could my beloved Milan lye in the 13th place ? I mean, we have Parma and Cagliari above us. I can't take this. I'm ashamed. What have you done Allegri ? What have you done with my love ?

Paolo Maldini is new AC Milan boss

The Serie A giants officially announced that Maldini has signed a one-year deal at the San Siro this afternoon.

The 45-year-old has long been recognised as the Rossoneri's first choice to take over the reins.

"This day has made me very happy," he told reporters. "It was a bit of a long month but I am happy.

"Now we will have all the time to prepare for the season. We need to try to work in the best way possible to obtain the maximum.

"I'm not worried about the Milan dressing room, the technical staff are already all with me.
