North Ferriby United

North Ferriby United was formed in 1934 as a result of a village meeting during which it was decided that it would be a good idea to form a local football team. They first took part in the local East Riding Church League and, in 1938, they won the Division One title.
The club was re-formed after the Second World War and were admitted to the East Riding Amateur League. The immediate post war years proved to be very successful with the highlight being an appearance in the final qualifying round of the FA Amateur Cup during the 1949–50 season.
In 1969, North Ferriby improved their status when they joined Division Two of the Yorkshire League: the following season they captured the championship and also lifted the East Riding Senior Cup. The year 1975 saw them win the Yorkshire League Cup by defeating Lincoln United 2–0. Twelve months later they finished second to Emley in Division One.
The 1970s were a very positive period for the club and saw them win the East Riding Senior Cup three times. They reached the FA Cup third qualifying round in the 1980–81 season, where they lost away to Boston United.
In 1982 they joined the newly formed Northern Counties East Football League, finishing as runners-up in Division One North. Promotion to the Premier Division was offered to them but had to be declined because the ground facilities were not up to the required standard.
The 1985–86 season saw them take the Division One title and this time they were promoted. They also reached the fourth round of the FA Vase and the following year went out in the fifth round to Farsley Celtic after losing 2–1.
Three seasons later national recognition came their way when they advanced to the semi-final of the FA Vase, losing to Tamworth, after just shading the first leg at Tamworth 2–1.
In 1991, North Ferriby won the inaugural President’s Cup, defeating FA Vase champions Guiseley 8–5 on aggregate. They also lifted the East Riding Senior Cup for the first time in 12 years and in the League Cup Final they lost 1–0 to Guiseley. The 1996–97 season saw them appear in the FA Vase Final at Wembley Stadium. A 3–1 aggregate victory over Guisborough Town in the semi-final saw them through to the Final at Wembley on 10 May 1997, where they were defeated 3–0 by Whitby Town.

North Ferriby United are strongly linked with Premier League Club Hull City and will look to use there squad to help them gain promotions over the seasons.

Hope you enjoy

Pre-Season Results

We Had a shaky pre season but the most memorable victory over arch rivals Frickley although ending on a 8-2 loss there where a lot of positives during pre-season

Transfer News

So i got rid of my chief scout because he wasnt good enough and found John Milton a scout with 12 Judging Ability and 12 Judging Potential, And he can help North Ferriby Bring In New Talent

Josh Thomas:

Great Long Term Signing Talented And Will Play A Major Part In My First Season

Michael Twiss:

Another Great Signing And A Long Term Signing For The Future
North Ferriby United: The Season Starts

North Ferriby United 4-1 Gainsborough

-Great way to start the season, Ryan Kendall was in form in this game as he was throughout pre season and scoring 4 goals put me on the top of the table.

Guisley 2-3 North Ferriby United

-Another Great Result, after falling behind by a goal we brought the game back to see us drawing 1-1 at HT we then saw 2 goals hit the back of the Guisley net putting us 3-1 up then a late 86th minute goal give Guisley a glimmer of hope but the game ended 2-3.

North Ferriby United 1-4 Boston United

-I was really disappointed in this result conceding a early penalty within 10 minutes wich by half time saw us down 0-3 in 67th minute we got a lucky goal back but Boston completed the rout with a 4th goal in the 83rd minute.
Decent start to the season. Hard loss against Boston, I know you will beat them next time around.
North Ferriby United

Altrincham 4-5 North Ferriby United

Great result against a tough team and to score 5 goals is a positive but to concede 4 was a little disappointing but you need to take these wins at the beginning of the season to put you in a positive position

Bradford PA 2-4 North Ferriby United

Another great victory and once again a high scoring game putting 4 goals past my opponents keeps my goal difference at a high and morale in the squad is high and Ryan Kendell is an inspirational form.

North Ferriby United 3-1 Barrow

With 2 gams won away from home it was time to step up to the mark on home soil with a convincing victory over Barrow once again a great result and the players duly delivered Ryan Kendell the man in form keeps impressing and will be hard to hold onto come January.
Great start to the season mate, well done! Doing great so far, Unlucky against Boston!
Interesting story so far! :).. some good results.. love to see how the signings do!
