Sebastian Corchia

The dynamic right back was very solid throughout pre-season and is covering plenty of ground from right back. He looks to be in much better shape than everyone else so he’ll again be crucial for us early in the season, especially in our first few games.

Conte’s Verdict

Many say pre-season is all about gaining fitness and finding a rhythm of play but I’m far too competitive to believe in those ideologies. Our results weren’t good enough and we should have beaten both Sporting de Braga and DC United but at least we got a nice little victory against AC Milan.

Salvio had a great season last time around and he has stated in pretty much the same vein, assisting three goals in three games!

Conte’s Verdict

We’ve started the season very well and as always, it’s nice to begin the season winning the Supercoppa Italia. As a club, it is the fourth time in a row it has been won by Juve. Our first two games were against two very tough teams, Catania, who had beaten us last season and had just signed Destro and then Fiorentina, who needs to description. Any kind of win would have satisfied me so I’m glad we got maximum points and managed to keep clean sheets throughout.
