Allegri: This Season My Last

In a press conference held earlier this afternoon, AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has revealed that he will be leaving the San Siro at the end of the coming season. It comes after months of speculation concerning the Italians' job security, and it was thought that he would be sacked. However, club chairman and controversial politician Silvio Berlusconi confirmed that he would continue in the role of manager just last month.

Allegri has confirmed that this will be his "last season at AC Milan", leaving many questions in the minds of fans of the club. Officials at the club have refused to speculate as to why the forty-six year old is leaving the post. However, during the press conference, Allegri told of his love and respect for the fans and club, and how he will never be able to thank them enough for supporting the club during his tenure. But there is one big question that needs to be answered, not only for the fans of the club, but also for the players and staff - who will take over?
Always love one of your stories Adam, so I'll definitely be following this!
*gasps* Who will it be!? So tense! Nice so far ;)
Good luck man
Great start, good luck!
Good start Adam:) I'm sure you will be able to take Milan back to their rightful place in football, the top.

Just a few hours ago, AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri announced to a room full of journalists that the upcoming season was to be his last in charge of the club. However, in a surprising development, he has been sacked by disgraced AC Milan chairman and former Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, after he failed to tell him of his plans to leave the club. Berlusconi is said to be saddened by Allegri's choice to tell the press of his plans before he was told himself. In a short interview with La Gazetta dello Sport, he reportedly told the journalist from the leading Italian newspaper that he "feels betrayed" by Allegri, after sticking with him through the speculation over his job.

Montolivo, pictured above, is "deeply upset".

Team captain Riccardo Montolivo has reacted to the sacking in an exclusive interview with the club website. He told our reporter that he feels "deeply upset and angry" over the sacking. He also told us how the harmony in the team was at an all time high at present, and he claimed that this was down to Allegri. Speaking on behalf of the team, he also said that many of the players had felt comfortable under his management, and that he would be a huge loss to the team.
Nice update, good lil twist. Looking forward to see who the new mananger is :P

Allegri Replacement Hired

Since the sacking of Massimiliano Allegri on Saturday, AC Milan chairman Silvio Berlusconi has shown no remorse over the departure, and has instead continued his angry rant about the "betrayal". Allegri was sacked last weekend after telling media sources that he was to leave the San Siro after the season coming had finished. Berlusconi reacted angrily over his decision to do so before being consulted. But after days of speculation over who would replace him, the choice has finally been revealed.

Former Italy and AC Milan centre back, Alessandro Nesta, was today introduced to the public at the San Siro. Supporters from across the globe bought tickets to the event, but none of them were aware of who would be unveiled. As he came out of the changing room tunnel, optimism turned to sheer joy, and he received a standing ovation from the packed stadium. The thirty-seven year old was considered by many as the best centre back of his generation, and it was clear that even the youngsters who turned out to the event had recognized him instantly.

He gave a speech to the fans, in which he told of his plans for the future of the club. He told the expectant fans how he was hoping to win the league, and restore AC Milan's status as one of the best clubs in Europe. Whether he can live up to his own expectations remains to be seen, but this optimism and hope from the new boss will surely rub off on the players and fans, and we could well see them back in the Champions League Final soon enough.
Nestaaaa :D Nice update and good luck with him.
Oooh, Nesta! Good Luck :)
Ooooh, Very different! Love Nesta:D
Will he get old teamates in his staff?

AC Milan have confirmed the signing of Spanish fullback Martin Montoya. The 22 year old signed a four year contract earlier this afternoon, after meeting with manager Alessandro Nesta. He is reported to be earning around £48.5k.

During his time at Barcelona, he was tipped by many to become a true great. After a few steady seasons in and around the first team, and turning in some impressive performances, his progression seems to have halted. He has made several appearances for the Spain U21 team, and he could still develop into a truly world class player if given the experience and training at Milan.
Great start to your story. Good luck
