Hello everyone!

Some of you may have read my ultra-detailed FMH Series, with England, Portugal, and last year Boston United.

This is my first save on FM14, and as such I will be playing the Classic Game, meaning I can only download three nations.

THUS, here is my "Triangle Challenge" for newbies such as myself.

Take a team from the bottom playable league of a nation, up to the top of the nation's pyramid, and then on to continental glory.

I will probably be terrible, since it is my first go at FM14.

I've loaded the Portuguese League System (down to the third tier), the Malaysian League System (just two leagues), and the MLS.

I figure it will be difficult to conquer Europe and Asia with teams from Portugal and Malaysia, while an MLS team in CONCACAF is my "Get out of jail free" card.

Enjoy!
I will taking on the character of Fernando Torres.

After a terrible knee injury at the end of the 2012-13 campaign, I've decided to take some time away from football and retire.

However, rumors have popped up linking me to managerial positions with mid-table clubs like Fulham, Norwich, and Stoke.

"I need some time away from football, and I think I will know when the time is right what club's offer to take," I say in broken English.

I am Fernando Torres, and this is my manager journey.

I've realized that enough is enough- I want to get as far away from European football as possible.

The ridiculous amounts of endorsements, the constant paparazzi everywhere I turn, the clamoring fans still breathing down my neck despite the fact I'm retired.

I want to leave this place, and never come back.

I still remember the tackle like it was yesterday-

*ZZZZT FERNANDO FLASHBACK THEME SONG*

"It was a rainy mid-March day, and we'd gone to the Britannia to take on those idiots Stoke. Sure enough, it took all of seven minutes for that clunking numbskull Shawcross to scissor my right leg. While Howard Webb nonchalantly flicked him a yellow card, I lay on the ground, unmoving, clutching onto a piece of sod. I knew that very instant, my career was over. One knee injury had been bad enough, and the humiliation of playing with a bad knee had haunted me for seasons at that point. I knew that I wasn't willing to risk the time or embarrassment of a return from this one. I sat there on the pitch, staring up at the dreary British sky, and cried. Tears streamed down my face, but thankfully nobody could tell because of the torrential rain. My life as I had known it was over. It was time to move on from football, and actually do something with my life.

*zzzt*

That bloke, Shawcross, ended up going in studs-up on Ivanovic later that match. Ivanovic missed the rest of the season too, and our title hopes slowly slipped away from us. Shawcross got a paltry one-match ban. That's the joke the English league is, unfortunately.

My wife said it would be nice to take the kids somewhere, long-term.

I've been contemplating it, and while it may be a bit exotic, I'm thinking of tabling a family move to Malaysia. Just our family, no butlers or chauffeurs or anything. We could live in a hut by the beach, in a perfect little rural community.

Sounds much better than thirty-five thousand Brits laughing at you on rainy day in March, doesn't it?

You are reading "The Triangle Challenge with Fernando Torres".
