Former Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has joined Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund today for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of around £6.75m

The young playmaker joins title hopeful's Borussia Dortmund and has revealed that He can't wait to link up with his teammates and put on the famous yellow and black shirt. He had this too say:

"I am very happy to have signed for BVB, they are one of the biggest clubs in Germany and they are bound to grow and I'm glad that I can play a part of this going forward. I wasn't getting much game time at Chelsea and it was in my best interests to leave and look for regular football. Dortmund came knocking and I simply couldn't reject. I can't wait to link up with my new teammates and put on that famous yellow and black shirt"

De Bruyne will wear the number 14 shirt this season for Dortmund.
Top signing!

De Bruyne - Press Conference

Key:
J - Journalists
JK - Jurgen Klopp
KDB - Kevin De Bruyne
PO - Press Officer

J - "Hello, Lance here from CaughtOffside, You sit here with new singing Kevin, are you confident he can be a star here?"

JK - "Evening Lance, Yes I do, I wouldn't of gone in for him had I not thought he was the right man for this club, he is a terrific player!"

J - "Hi Jurgen, Jim here from SkySports News. There are many people saying this was a panic buy by the club, do you have anything to add on that matter?"

JK - "Listen, Kevin is a fine player and he's been on our radar for some time. There is no element of a panic buy at all... We lost Gotze to Bayern and I needed to add quality and I'm delighted Kevin could come along with him and Henrikh we have two different players that bring different things to the table."

J - "Afternoon, Kevin this one's for you.. What's it like knowing that you get to play for such a popular club and for one of the top managers around?"

KDB - "Afternoon, It's great the fans here are amazing and one of the main factors for coming here, when I was on loan at Werder last season coming to play here was so intimidating, the fans play their bit as the 12th man, also the players here they are all fantastic players and a great bunch and I'm honored to be able to walk out onto the same pitch as them, and as for working under Jurgen, how could I possibly decline? He's a fantastic manager and I'm determined to improve from learning from him!"

J - "Another one for you Kevin, how hard was it for you to leave Chelsea?"

KDB - "Well as anyone would tell you, leaving a club like Chelsea is always a hard thing to do, they have a great team and a great set of fans... But I had to do what was best for me and my career. I wasn't getting games there, José and I thought it'd be better for me if I found a new club where I could get more game time... And here I am at Dortmund, such a fabulous club with a bright future ahead of them!"

J - "Jurgen, can we expect to see any further movement in the window from you?"

JK - "Well, I never stop looking for ways to make the squad better. So if the right player comes along, and he fits what we're trying to do here then I don't see why not.. But we will only move for any players if I believe they can add something to this team."

PO - "That'll be all today, thank you for coming. If you'd like to follow me I'll escort you to the café for refreshments."
Great signing :)

Two Join BVB

Borussia Dortmund have today announced a double swoop for two of Europe's brightest talents, the first being Timo Horn.

Horn is widely tipped to be one of Germany's top shot stoppers and to take over Neuer once his career comes to an end. He is only 20 years old and is already still a good player but with years ahead of him it looks like he will develop into a great keeper. He joins for a fee of £3.8m after Dortmund met the release clause in place.

Timo had this to say:

"It's great to be able to sign for such a huge club! I never imagined I would be good enough for a club like Dortmund, but I'm glad the manager has shown faith in me and is willing to give me the chance to improve my game by joining Dortmund. I'm especially looking forward to working with Weidenfeller, he is a great goalkeeper and I'm sure I can learn a lot from him!"

Horn will wear the Number 13 jersey this season for Dortmund.

The second signing is Mohamed Salah, the young Egyptian is one of the most talked about players in the world right now. Dortmund faced stern competition from Liverpool and Napoli but BVB managed to beat them to his signature believed to be for a fee of £8.75m

Salah has claimed a lot of plaudits recently for his performances in both of Europe's competitions the Champions League and Europa League, the Egyptian is known for his blistering pace and his cool head in front of goal.

Salah had the following it say:

"I can't quite believe it! I never in a million years thought I'd be sat here with Jurgen Klopp wearing my Black and Yellow jersey, it's a dream come true for me. I am an admirer of Dortmund and it was a no brainer for me to come here! I look forward to working with my new teammates especially being able to play alongside Marco Reus!"

Salah will wear the Number 23 jersey this season for Dortmund.

Great transfer! I like Salah very much!

Klopp: Dortmund still a selling club

The 46-year-old has acknowledged that last year's Champions League finalists are not big enough yet to keep their stars at the Westfalenstadion

Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Borussia Dortmund are still a selling club as they are unable to hold on to their key players.

The Bundesliga giants have lost players such as Shinji Kagawa and Mario Gotze to Manchester United and Bayern Munich in recent seasons, while Robert Lewandowski also said farewell to BVB earlier this campaign after agreeing to join the Bavarians.

Nevertheless, Klopp is hopeful that Dortmund can continue their development and become a club capable of holding on to its star men in the not too distant future.

"It has always been clear to us that our best players would be leaving at some point," Klopp told reporters.

"I have already said for a few years now that it's up to us to make sure that Borussia Dortmund develop into a club where players want to go and then want to stay, too.

"However, we are not there just yet as a club.

Klopp has been at Dortmund since 2008 and has since guided them to two Bundesliga titles.
I wonder if this means you'd offload Reus and Gundogan..?
Really like this story! Keep up the top notch work
@pompeyblue - thanks, I feel he could really add something to the team

@AAN - cheers, I believe he can achieve great things at Dortmund, I rate him in real life too!

@P-Kiddy - all will be revealed soon!

@JimmyRawlings - thanks a bunch pal, glad you're enjoying it :)

Reus & Gundogan Commit Futures

Borussia Dortmund are proud to announce that flamboyant midfielders, Marco Reus & Ilkay Gundogan have signed new deals at the Westfalenstadion. Both players have penned deals until the summer of 2018.

Jurgen Klopp has expressed his delight about the two stars renewing their contracts at Dortmund he had the following to say:

"We've made a real statement here, getting two of our star lads signed on for the next 5 years. I'm looking forward to working with them in years to come, and I am delighted that they have signed on, the future is looking bright for Dortmund!"

Marco Reus' has expressed his joy and has thanked Jurgen for the faith he has shown in him since he rejoined his childhood club. Upon signing his new deal Reus had this to say:

"It was a no brainer for me to sign a new contract, I love this club and I love the fans. I am grateful for all the faith the gaffer (Jurgen) has shown in me, he brought me back to my childhood club and it's a honor to put on the famous black and yellow colors and go out and play for Dortmund."

"For me money wasn't a motive, you see I am not like Mario & Robert, Bayern could try all they like and they'd never manage to sign me! I am a Dortmund player and I hope to be for a long time, I hope I can further advance my career here at Dortmund and help the team go onto big things!"

Ilkay Gungodan also expressed his delight in signing a new deal at Der BVB:

"I am glad all this has been sorted out, I am delighted to have been able to sign a new contract at this club, it is a club close to my heart and I am looking forward to being here for the next 5 years at least! I hope we can go on to big things here and I'm overjoyed that Marco has signed an extension too! He is a magnificent player and I look forward to playing alongside him for years to come."
Good to hear this! Bayer will not steal them, as they usually do!

August Review

A good start to the season, two wins and a draw. I was particular happy with the two victories over Hannover and Mainz, scoring 7 goals in the process. The Bayern draw I was particularly pleased with too, we was the better side. But it was just one of those games where no matter how many shots we had we wasn't going to be Neuer. The only disappointment this month was the Hertha result, we should really be beating them, and beat them quite heavily too but however it wasn't meant to be.

Dortmund 4-1 Hannover 96
Subotic, Aubameyang & Blaszczykowski x2
Kadah

Dortmund 0-0 Bayern

Dortmund 3-0 Mainz
Hummels & De Bruyne x2

Dortmund 0-0 Hertha Berlin

Overall, A good start to the season could of picked up an extra two points against Hertha but it wasn't meant to be. We will push on from this and hopefully mount a strong title challenge this term.
Some nice signings out there and de Bruyne deal was fantastic !

A Great Start

I sat at my desk in my office, fiddling with the bottle lid of my highlands water, I couldn't help but think about what a great start to the season we've had. We got 7 points from 12, yes I know it's not the 'Perfect start' but it is an ideal one. As long as we can average a good set of points each month there is no reason why we can't be at the top end of the table come the end of the season.

I looked out and I was impressed with what I saw. Timo our young keeper has been particularly impressive in training of recent weeks, he really is learning alot from Roman, he'll soon have a serious case for a starting spot if he carries on the way he is. Marco also was impressing me, he used to be a lot more greedier than he was, don't get me wrong he loves having the ball at his feet and I don't blame him he's a fantastic player, but recently I have noticed he has become a lot more of a team player. He is also putting a lot of effort in with the set pieces and it's paid off as a lot of our goals have come from set plays this term.

Also good news on Henrikh and Lukasz they look set to return ahead of schedule which is great, we have a great set of physio's and doctors here and the facilities here and the rehab are second to none and I look forward to having them available for selection again soon.

Player Of The Month

I was sat trying to elect my player of the month, there was four names in particular that stood out to me:

Marco Reus - His performances have really impressed me, he has got the most assists in the team and in the league at this point.

Mats Hummels - He's had a wonderful start to the season, solid defensive displays and has shocked everyone by getting in a lot of good positions to score goals from too. He has scored a goal also which is always nice.

Kevin De Bruyne - The young Belgian has had a wonderful start to his Dortmund career, scoring two goals and getting an assist in his first month, I can't argue with that return.

Jakub Blaszczykowski - He has had a terrific start to the season, scored a couple of goals and is always finding himself in good positions.

Out of them names, I had to go for young Kevin, he has been fantastic this season scoring two on his debut and grabbing an assist. He has really bedded in well here and has played his role perfectly. I look forward to seeing how this young lad develops over the next few years, He has the potential to be a world beater. I believe Chelsea have missed a trick with this lad!
