A world cup countdown clock?

ohh the countdown clock sounds like a good idea!

Sure, good idea. Though I think my first priority should be to change site engine. I want to introduce a world cup section, and maybe base a new site theme on that until FM 2011. World cup is a major football event and doesn't occur every year, so it should be cool to do that for a change.

While I can set no timeline for the site changes and make no promises, I really want to have everything ready before May. Let's see what happens with my mood next month...

Site engine changed.
There are some problems I couldn't solve, such as special characters that appear really weird. Wherever you find such problem, please post a comment on that page and I'll fix it.

Other than that, everything else worked out well. However, the point of entering a beta period has to do with unfinished tasks, regarding the functionality of the new site. This means there are plenty of pending features yet to be revealed and probably even more to improve.
Feel free to keep up your requests, and I'll do my best to follow.

A chat room quiet a simple feature really but a good idea lol

Hmm, a chat IRC-based facility already exists, but personally I'm not keen about chat in general, so not using it and don't know how active it is.

A page specific chat could work instead, let's say a facebook based real-time comment box on a live video streaming popup window. Just a thought...

The game needs a facility to edit prize money and promotion and relegation numbers.

we used to have chat. didn't work that well as we didn't have too many active members :P.

Shout box sounds like a great spam friendly feature in my opinion... it wouldn't add any real value to the site, would it?

I believe the main page has changed in a good way now, I will be attempting to apply a few more changes to the thin column and some slight re-arrangements. The time a visitor stays on the site has grown a bit, and that is good. I'll be looking forward to building on this.
