In somewhat peculiar fashion Dundee United have today announced that Jackie McNamara has decided to part ways with with the Club and an unknown Quantity - Lee Goodlad has been hired as his replacement.
Little is known about Lee Goodlad, or what he will bring to the team, but fans and media alike eagerly await Lee's first interview outlining his plans at Dundee United.

A calm demeanor and relaxed approach to a barrage of questions has seen a relativley low key, but extermely methodical Lee Goodlad get off to a good start as Dundee United Manager, internally, Simon Donelly contract was terminated by mutual agreement, with Lee bringing in Neil Murray as his number 2.
Changes on the field has seen 2 new Signings to the side, Kevin Pannewitz and Roman Adamov come into the side, with Mark Millar, Chris Erskine and Brian Graham all leaving on Loan.
The most notable addition to this dundee united side has seen the Return of "The Prince" member of the 2010 Scottish Cup Winning Side.
Although in interviews Lee had eluded to an attractive attacking side, the more reliable 4-5-1 formation has seen a solid United keep pace with Celtic at the top of the league, going into october level on points with the SPL Defending Champions.
A succesful first half of the season has seen a Young, and not too new look Dundee United leave the January Transfer window, with a squad still in tact and some useful additions to help the 2nd half push to the title. Currently 8 points clear of Celtic, at the top of the table, Steven Thomson has been delighted with his sides progress under Lee Goodlad, so much so, an improved contract was signed. The only dissapointment so far has been their exit in the Semi Final of the league cup, with a dire 4-1 loss to Celtic.
Forging a link with Liverpool has seen Ryan McLaughlin join dundee united to bolster there defensive options, mainly as cover for right back.
With Marc Wilson's contract being allowed to expire after only making 3 appearences. Jordan Spence made his deadline day switch to tannadice on loan from West Ham, after Keith Watson suffered a horror injury that will keep him out for upto 9 months.
Other moves in January saw Michael Keane drafted in as another loan signing as cover up front.
Surprisingly though, Ryan Gauld, whom many see as Dundee Uniteds brightest talent has only seen a handful of appearences, with the manager favouring Both Nadir Ciftci and Gary Mackay Stevens in the wide midfield roles.
