This will be my last entry for a while, as things are getting busy at Sutton United!
Earlier this evening we hosted Bishop's Stortford, who have similarly struggled to begin the campaign.
The match was quite cagey and went to break tied 0-0, but Harry Baker put the visitors in a surprise one-nil lead in the 56th minute on a bit of a freak goal, and I could see my position as manager slipping away as we neared our third consecutive defeat.
However, Jamie Slabber got one back for us in the 78th when he tapped in a rebound to level.
Then, by some act of god, Damian Scannell fired home from close range in the 87th minute to put us in front for good.
It's an unbelievable feeling, watching the lads celebrate on the pitch, the supporters chanting the team's name, and knowing I was a part of it.
The 4-3-3 I employed worked quite well, I think I'll be sticking with it in two days' time as we play Concord Rangers.
