Me and my friend Frankie98 are starting a challenge against each other over a certain amount of seasons to see how far we can get with Ipswich Town.

We will have everything set up the same and it is just something we have been planning to do. we will both continuously write out our stories about how the season is going along with monthly reviews, cup draws, pre season reports and transfer news. We would appreciate any comments and replies to the stories and we hope we can grab your attention with the challenge.

We are really looking forward to it and if you have any suggestions for us or new challenegs for us to take on, for example new teams to manage then let us know.

The challenge will begin later on this evening and we hope to have all your support.
My hometown team. GOOD LUCK!
Good luck!

Ipswich Hire Swaine as Manager

Ipswich town this evening has appointed 25-year-old Joe Swaine as their new manager. The appointment became official after days of speculation and Swaine seemed to be delighted with the job. In his first press conference he told us “I’m very happy with the direction the club is going in. Everyone at the club wants to be the best than can be, nobody more so than me.

Swaine has been given a £100k transfer budget which will not be easy but Swaine is confident he can find the right faces with that money. Ipswich face Bochum today in their first game under Swaine in a pre season friendly and everyone is eager to see how they will get on.

Ipswich Pre Season Review

Overall, a mixed pre season for the Tractor Boys. They began well, beating Bochum 3-2, they then went on to Port Vale where despite taking the lead lost 2-1 and finally a disappointing result to end, losing 4-0 away at Brentford.

On the positive side they manage to capture Alex Nimely on loan from Manchester City for 3 months and Swaine will look to increase the duration of loan by the time 3 months is up.

The new Championship season begins on Saturday and Swaine's side head to the Madejski where they will face recently relegated Reading. Swaine is full of optimism before the game and hopes the season ahead will be a successful one.

Pre Season Results:

Ipswich Town 3-2 Bochum
Port Vale 2-1 Ipswich Town
Brentford 4-0 Ipswich Town
