Welcome to my Gibraltar save, "Is it impossible?" where I'm going to try and prove that it is actually possible to take Gibraltar places. The EURO's, World Cup, rankings. All of the previously mentioned I hope (albeit ambitiously) to conquer in this save.
Humble Beginnings
So a quick mention, for those of you who don't know, the situation of Gibraltar at the start of FM14.
For me, 1 friendly is the only thing in the forecast, although I plan on changing that. This game will be against Chinese Taipei, ranked 175th in the World. It will probably prove to be a tough challenge. Whilst they're ranked 175th, we aren't actually ranked.
Having played a grand total of 0 games, Gibraltar find themselves in the rather awkward position of not actually having a ranking right now. My first task, will be to change this. The current lowest "ranked" nation is San Marino who, alongside Turks and Caicos Islands, have 0 points. Essentially, this entails that they have never won a game that they have played, nor have they drawn. This will be the second task!
So, to summarise, I'm starting nowhere, in a nation that will not be playing it's home games within it's boundaries, instead in Spain. Our only notable player is Danny Higginbotham, former Manchester United, Derby, Southampton, Stoke, Sunderland, Nottingham Forest, Ipswich and Sheffield United defender, now based at Chester's reformed club!
