WIgan have been playing great entertaining football over the past few seasons and got some great wins, including the FA Cup. Unfortunately, last season they where relegated and I am the chosen man to bring them back to the top where they belong.

Looking into Transfers:

I tried to offload a lot of players that i didn't thing where good enough for the squad. However since over the summer a lot of new players where signed i couldn't get rid of them. Moreover, several players left on loan to teams in the Championship, League 1 and 2, andalso to lower leagues.

Transfers In:

The major purchase for the club was the signing of fellow Englishman, Ince who cost the club the sum of 6m.
Other signings included Zuculini in midfield and Atlanta's Pugliese for 500k.
We also signed a young player on a free transfer named Esteban Lopez who is a winger.

In the next post we will cover pre season.
Pugilese grows into a great player mate, good signings there for sure :)

he needs playing time and that is something that I cannot guarantee as he hasn't performed that good when given a chance. We will see how he can improve and be the next big thing in our midfield.

During our preseason Wigan played a total of 5 games. I am really happy with our form during these matches. We scored a total of 13 goals and won 4 out of 5.

Friendly games:

Wigan v Stockport 5-0 Maloney 2, McClean 2, Espinoza

Walsall v Wigan 1-3 Barnett, Beausejour, Holt

Wigan v Tottenham 0-0

Arbroath v Wigan 0-4 Lopez, McCann, Zuculini, Holt

Modena v Wigan 0-1 Maloney

During our next update we will cover the first match of the season which will be away from home against Barnsley and the most awaiting match against Premier league champions Manchester United in the Community Shield.

Championship

Barnsley v Wigan 1-3 McClean, Fortune 2

A great win since we where draw until Fortune scored twice.

Community Shield: Wembley

Manchester United v Wigan 2-0

An unlucky lose, we played well and defended with a purpose. There were some bright moments where we attacked and give it our all, but De Gea was in a brilliant form and we could not score. Vidic opened the deadlock in the 38 minute and later on in the final 10 minutes Van Persie closed the game. A loss was an expected result against such a strong opposition.
Good luck!, Maybe add some pictures to make it better to read, but I like the story

Guys can someone explain to me how to add screenshots and how to add some pictures to my story. I would really like to continue this story. However i would continue it from the 2nd season, as i finished the first one. All i can say about the 1st season is that for us Wigan it was a good season. Will let you know later on this week how it went, what position we came and even tell you about my new transfers and acquisitions.

Ps if you can help me with the picture thing that would be great.

Thanks Fzemdegs will do just that so i would be able to make my story a bit more interesting and easier for my followers to follow.
First of all thanks for the response i am getting from this series, i know that i haven't uploaded any new material in a long time but right now i am busy and i am not currently playing but i will try to give a review of what happened at the end of the 1st season this week. Hope that you will enjoy it and then i will continue writing for the second season. There will be some interesting and exciting signing in the pre-season. All of which you are very familiar with, especially does who follow the Premier League.

Before i do all that, i also must discuss my January transfers of the 1st season. I signed some good veterans although not everyone contributed that much to the end of the season and some where disappointing. These were some gambles that i had to take to help my time.

Will try to write more over the next two months but i have to find the time.

Thanks again and hope that when i will post new things you will continue to follow my story.

My Major Transfers over the course of the season where: 5

http://www.fmscout.com/datas/users/wigan__transfers_41429.jpg

All signing contributed a great deal towards the end of the season, which we will be discussing in our next update.

Firstly my most impressive purchase must be Ince and Zuculini. Since they where a great asset to the team. One capable of scoring and helping when on the attack. The second one, an Argentine international helped us on the defensive side of things.

We also managed to get Wisdom on a season long loan from Liverpool and although at times i was afraid to start him against top teams he did and up playing regularly until the end of the season. We also had the option to sign him but the fee was to expensive to our club. Lopez was signed for the future and contributed with the Reserve squad. Pugliese was shiped out on loan to Getafe in Spain together with various others who left the club on loan.

Klasnic was signed on a free transfer and helped ease the pressure of goals from Holt's shoulders. In January i felt that i needed to strengthen the squad and since i was out of money i signed Hleb, the ex Arsenal and Barcelona flop on a free transfer. However as i just described him, his season with us can be sign as a flop since he only scored 1 goal and made an assist in 9 League games. I also brought striker Kanoute on free. Kanoute was also a huge disappointment since he scored and assisted just one goal, which was not what i expected from a striker of his caliber.

Our only actual transfer was that of Fortune who left in January and joined Watford for 225K.
