2019-2020

Hello guys and welcome to a brand new story! I am currently the manager of Man Utd and on my 9th season. I will be updating this on a regular basis and I hope you enjoy!

Towards the end of my 8th season, David Gill stepped down and were taken over by millionaire, Stuart Folkes.

The Squad

Very happy with the goalkeepers I have at my disposal. De Gea being my number 1 keeper with Meunier being number 2 and Ocal being number 3.

I do have relatively young left backs with Jose Angel being on loan at Inter Milan! All of them have so much potential and they will all play a massive part throughout the season.

Not too many centre backs but I think I should have enough. Phil Jones has been outstanding for us and fulfilled his potential. Now one of the experienced defenders along with Smalling is currently tutoring Yener whose potential has somewhat stalled.

Have enough quality at right back with Francisco certainly coming close to fulfilling his potential is aided by Jones and Smalling as well as Ivan Pina and Miguel Baena.

Have plenty of cover on the left side of midfield with Neymar, Sousa, CRISTIANO RONALDO and Kalinic all able to play in that position. Neymar is of course one of the first players on the team sheet and has been quality for us only joining the Red Devils during the summer of 2018.

Plenty of young talented central midfielders, this I would say is where we're strongest and have high hopes that they will play a massive part in the club's future. Luka Jevic and Diego Jesus are 2 of our massive talents and can't wait to see more of them.

Again like on the left we have very strong and talented right sided wingers with Ronaldo giving that experience to the younger players. Kocourek has been a revelation since joining from EPL rivals Newcastle as well as Fairclough and Alien.

We come now to our forwards with a mixture of young talented players and players with experience. Fierro had a difficult life at Man Utd but found his feet last season scoring 24 goals in the EPL. With Rooney ageing, expect the younger players like Charles, Bernhardt and Kouame to step up as well as Fierro.

The Sultan of the Stepover returns as the Welsh wizard departs

After spending 6 years at Man Utd and becoming a legend at the club, Cristiano Ronaldo made a sensational return to the Theatre of Dreams as he was surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu, joining for a fee as small as £4m. Manager, Patrick McKeown was said to be absolutely thrilled with the return of Ronaldo and cannot wait to work alongside him. Ronaldo, who left for Madrid scored a total of 153 La Liga goals in 204 appearances was sure one day that he would return to Old Trafford and when the contract was offered to him, he simply didn't have to think about it!

Gareth Bale who was signed from Spurs for £26m joined oil rich club, Birmingham after 4 seasons at Manchester Utd for a fee of £40m. Patrick thought it was time for Bale to go so he could let the younger players step up and take their chance in the first team. Bale was sad to leave the Red Devils but was excited at his new adventure at the Midlands club.

Could Jones be on his way out?

Phil Jones today handed in a transfer request after he was rather unhappy about the sale of Gareth Bale and that the boss didn't fulfil his promise to strengthen the squad. Patrick however rejected the request and informed Jones that what he does in the transfer business is none of his concern and to simply concentrate on playing for Man Utd and England. Jones was said to be disappointed with the reaction and warned the boss he hasn't heard the last of this!

A positive start to the season

Well we won the Community Shield yet again defeating Liverpool on penalties after a very tight game. This will now spur us on for the rest of the season and give the young players a big confidence.

A great win in the first game as the Liberty Stadium is a difficult place to go to. We passed them off the park and Charles took both his goals very well with Vorm scoring a comical own goal. Ronaldo made his 2nd EPL debut and had a fine game.

A comfortable home win against London club, West Ham who were simply no match for us as we dominated the game and perhaps could and should have scored more. Kouame came off the bench for his EPL debut and scored his first goal for the club. De Gea unfortunately at 3-0 scored an own goal.

Won our first cup of the season against Marseille with Charles continuing his fine start to the season with Neymar, Jevic and Smalling grabbing their first goals. Very pleased with the win but did concede 2 silly goals and had a go at my defence after the game.

August awards

Alejandro finished 3rd in POTM with some fine performances in midfield from the youngster with Navarro and Aguero finishing in 2nd and 1st after both scored 4 goals in 2 appearances.

Young French left back, Brice Ravet finished runner up in young player of the month with Kalnins of Swansea pipping him to 1st whilst Guerro of Newcastle finished 3rd.

Verdict

A good start to the month scoring several goals and the new signings will need time to gel but hopefully over the coming months will see a major impression in their performances.
