Fulham Appoint Laudrup
Fulham have today announced that former Danish international, Michael Laudrup will be the head coach going into the 2013/14 season. Laudrup who will be René Meulensteen's successor at Craven Cottage has recently had a spell at South Wales club Swansea City. He enjoyed a very good spell in Wales leading the Welsh side to the Carling Cup final last season which they went on to win. Fulham acted quickly to snap up the Dane and are looking forward to working under his leadership and hopefully he'll bring some bright ideas and help steer this club forward.
A spokesman for the London club had this to say:
"We are delighted to have Michael here, he is a top manager with a wealth of experience. He has all the qualities we were looking for in a leader and we look forward to seeing what he can bring to the club, he has the full backing of the board and we are very hopeful of great things under his management. He has had a great start to his managerial career having a successful spell in Spain with Rayo and also coming to over here and managing Swansea."
"This could be exciting times for the fans of Fulham, as the Dane adapts an attractive brand of football and he also integrates youth. So it's a fantastic chance for the young kids here to get their chance."
Laudrup will sign a one year deal with the option of the club to extend it for a further two depending on how the season pans out for the Cottagers.
