Quest for Glory - Gunning for the Title(corrupted data new story soon)

We are pleased to announce that our manager Arsene Wenger has agreed a new one year rolling contract. Arsenal came fourth last season once again qualifying for the champions league but this season we want to go a bit better and challenge for the title. After the signing of Mesut Ozil we hope there are more big names on their way to the Emirates Stadium to help us achieve our goals this season. Come on you Gooners!!

We can confirm we have had a bid of £27 million for highly rated Brazilian Striker Diego Costa by Atletico Madrid. However, Atletico have rejected a bid of £12 million for left back Felipe Luis but we have returned with a second offer for Luis. Arsene Wenger also hopes to strengthen the midfield for the season where he hopes to challenge for the famous Premier League title and win a trophy for the club for the first time since 2005.

Arsenal Sign Duo

Arsenal have completed the signings of Diego Costa(24) for £27 million and Javier Pastore(24) for £14.5 million today. Arsene Wenger welcomed the two new boys to the Emirates at the traditional presentation for new signings of the gunners. Wenger said "I hope that Diego can continue to score goals as he done in Spain with Atletico and Javier can both provide and score goals for the team" There is a lot of pressure on Costa and Pastore following their big moves to Arsenal.

Winning Start for Arsenal

Arsenal tonight won their Play Off first leg with a comfortable 4-1 victory against Red Bull Salzburg. Arsenal will return to the Emirates Stadium in a weeks time with a 3 goal advantage and 4 vital away goals. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored twice winning him the UEFA Man of the Match after a super solo performance from the young Englishman. There was also Champions League debut goals for new signings Pastore and Costa who both started for the first time after coming on as second half substitutes at the weekend in the 0-0 draw with Hull City.

Wenger who was angered by his sides poor finishing was much happier this evening after the thrashing of Red Bull Slazburg. Arsenal had 67% possession and had 10 shots on target against Hull, but failed to get the breakthrough. Wenger said "I was disappointed with our finishing against Hull but tonight we were very clinical in front of goal. It was also great to see Diego and Javier get their first goals for the club."

Arsenal have been drawn in group H in this years Champions League. Arsenal qualify after 7-1 aggregate win against Red Bull Salzburg. We wish Arsene Wenger and the squad the best of luck in their group. Arsenal will start the campaign away at Steaua.

Wenger Wants Improvement

Arsenal lie in 8th position in the Premier League after September. Arsene Wenger believes his team could have performed better and were unlucky on several times during this months fixtures. Arsenal only managed to draw against Aston Villa and Manchester City, both game Arsenal had chances to win the match. Arsene Wenger today told journalists he hopes his side will improve over the next few weeks. When asked if Ozil would return to action this month Wenger answered, "Unfortunately Mesut will miss this months fixtures but we hope he will return to training at the end of the month. Theo will hopefully be fit again in a few weeks as he has now started light training following his injury"
Arsenal begin the month in the Champions League with a home game against Basel on matchday 2 of this years competition. Following a poor result against Steaua Arsenal will hope to get 3 points as they take on the Swiss Champions,
