Fulham FC - The Home of Football

My first story! Having read a few stories on here over the past few weeks, I have decided to step up and write my own. I have loved some of the stories I have found on here, and they have inspired me to attempt one. As alot of stories seem to be based on supported clubs, I too will manage my supported club, Fulham FC.

However, my story will not be just an ordinary Fulham FC story. I have developed a small twist that will become evident in the next few updates. They will not impact the performance of the players (too much), and they are not financial changes to make me the next Manchester City, or Paris-Saint Germain. Instead, they are changes that will help develop my story, and I hope they can entertain.

As a fan of the Cottagers, I want to achieve the opposite to what we have achieved in real life this season. Players have been sluggish, results have been awful, and managers are yet to find the spirit within the team. While I hope this changes very soon, I hope to be able to change it immediately with my side, making some transfer changes and tactic alterations to send us high up the table!

Updates will be made monthly, looking back at the results and performances, but I will also include some updates for the story rather than results. I will not be the manager of the team (I never am), but the manager, and his staff will be revealed very soon.

I hope you enjoy my journey at Craven Cottage, hoping to turn Fulham from a side currently facing a disastrous relegation battle into a European club once again!

Fulham FC Announce Tantalising Takeover

Barclays Premier League side Fulham FC have announced a monumental takeover following some behind the scenes issues. Rumours have previously spread about disputes between owner Shadid Khan, chief executive officer Alistair Mackintosh and assistant manager Ray Wilkins, and now it seems they were true.

With numerous staff demanding unpaid salaries, Khan, who bought the club for an estimated £150-200 million, threatened to terminate the contract of anyone in compliant. Nevertheless, Alistair Mackintosh is believed to have leaked the information to the Football Association, who released a statement on the issue.

“The Football Association has informed Shahid Khan of the consequence his actions may face. Mr. Khan is required to pay every staff member the full amount due, or should leave Fulham Football Club with immediate effect.”

And with news that Khan is planning to invest in his National Football League side, the Jacksonville Jaguars, he has refused to pay wages and stepped down with immediate effect. With Fulham FC able to keep the departure under wraps for the last week, the Cottagers are able to announce their new owners at the same time, bringing joy to many fans. The South-West London club announced their tantalising takeover on the club website.

“Following the removal of Mr. Khan from Fulham Football Club, were are delighted to announce our new owners. We narrowed down our options and felt we needed who could help the club the most. As a result, Fulham Football Club is now owned by Sky Sports. #TakeoverTime”

In a deal valued to cost £400 million, Sky Sports have become the new owners of the Premier League football club, with the Soccer Saturday crew expected to lead the line. The board of directors are expected to be announced within the next few days, leaving fans to wonder who will complete the line-up?
