What the hell? I'm playing as Sunderland. I am in my second season and I am having EXTREME injury problems. I have 26 players in my first team and 10 are injured, all but 2 are out for at least a month. Also, all are very important players. I have 3 solid central defenders and they are all hurt so I'm forced to play with reserve defenders. My 2 best strikers are hurt. To round it out, 4 of my 5 wingers are hurt. I just played Newcastle and had 4 players that needed to come off due to injury so I finished the game with 9 men due to running out of subs. Because of these injuries, I've dropped from 5th(2 points out of 3rd) to 11th in about a month (It's February 6th). Any ideas why everyone is getting injured in matches and also, any ideas for formations/tactics to make up for my crap reserves having to play?

Way too many injuries in fm 09. Try lowering the amount of training you have your squad doing. Also avoid starting players that are in there low 90's for condition. Slowly let them back in the first team. Other stuff you can do but im too lazy to list all of it =P .
You should also check upon whether the players who are getting injured are usually the same, which means that they have increased injury proneness. If they do, you should consider selling them as soon as possible. If those players are young though, you don't need to get disappointed yet. As they grow older the injury proneness decreases. At least this is something I noticed to be true.
Well, Pape Diakhate and Anton Ferdinand keep getting hurt. Wijnaldum and Rossata have gotten hurt a lot too. Other than them, it alternates between players. I don't really understand why the central defenders are getting hurt since central defenders don't really get challenged, they do the challenging, lol. I just bought Dieumerci Mbokani and he got hurt in the African Nations Cup for a month before I even got to use him. Also, just bought Jan Simunek to help with the injuries in central def and he played 4 games and got hurt. lol
