change contract status from key player

i know this is cheating but...when you set a player to join a certain club at a certain date using the data editor. can you set it so the player hasn't got 'key player' in the contract. if i change the squad status of one of the players that i have edited the player instantly comes back unhappy that you changed the squad status. players get very unhappy fast if not played on a regular basis

No but if you pick the wage then maybe it will assume the players status.
