Leeds United have confirmed the appointment of Vincent Jones as their new manager on a 1-year contract.

Jones, aged 49, formerly played for Leeds United for two years, making 46 appearances as a Defender for the club. Despite only playing a small number of games for Leeds, he is seen as a club legend.

He returns to the club as a manager after Brian McDermott, who was at the club for approximately three months, reluctantly came to a conclusion to step down from Leeds. The reason for this is thought to be the recent fallout between the manager, and owners GFH Capital.

David Haigh, deputy chief executive of GFH Capital, said: "We approached Vincent on a 1-year contract with the hopes he would be able to spark a revival at the club. We are delighted he accepted our offer after considering it for 48 hours."

"Obviously, we aim for Promotion this season. We have been in the Championship for several years now, and we feel it is a suitable target for the club. We feel Vincent has the ability to bring Premier League football back to Leeds United, and we would not have appointed him otherwise".

Due to the recent appointment of Vincent Jones, several other Leeds United legends may return to the club. Lucas Radebe is linked with the Assistant Manager role, whilst Gary McAllister is considering becoming a Coach at Elland Road.
Leeds linked with Nabil Bentaleb

Leeds United are keen to add to their squad and are linked with signing Tottenham youngster, Nabil Bentaleb

Tottenham are yet to offer the 18-year old Algerian a professional contract, despite his recent performances for the club. For a compensation fee of just under £1 million, he could be set to arrive at Leeds United.

The club have also been linked with Blackpool Defender, Kirk Broadfoot and Celtic Midfielder, Kris Commons, which are both likely to take up a big chunk of Leeds' transfer budget.
Good luck mate! will follow :D

Morata on the Move
____________________________________________________________________________________

Newly promoted club, Leeds United have reported the signing of Álvaro Morata for a fee of around £10.50 million. The 21-year old was delighted at reaching an agreement with such a reputable club.

Leeds manager Vinnie Jones said "He was a hard signing, and we had to beat off the likes of Everton and West Bromwich Albion to sign him. Morata will be earning 22.5k per week, eventually rising to almost 100.5k per week after five seasons at the club"

Morata started his career at Getafe, before moving to Madrid giant, Real Madrid as one of their most promising prospects. In the 2013-14 season playing for Real's first team, he scored 8 goals in 19 appearances, with an average rating of 7.04. His surprise performances were the apparent reason from European interest.

Although Morata has taken a large chunk from the Leeds budget, the club is also linked with several other players. These include Colombian defender, Eder Balanta, and promising Czech striker, Matej Vydra.
Congrats on finished the season first and what a buy in Morata - I'm sure he'll be great for you!
What a buy! This guy will surely boost your chances! Good luck!

LEEDS SIGN VYDRA

Leeds United have completed the signing of Czech stiker, Matej Vydra on a free transfer. He joins after the club agreed a contract with the 22-year old in January, but only revealed the signing on the 1 July. Alongside him, Croatian midfielder Sammir has joined, as a final backup option for the Attacking Midfielder position.

Vydra enjoyed a loan spell last season at West Bromwich Albion, scoring 10 goals in 27 appearances. Vinnie Jones was very impressed with the player, watching him play at the The Hawthorns several times in the 2013-14 season. The Czech striker has scored 7 goals in 16 appearances for his country.

Sammir, however, only played 4 times in the 2013-14 season due to injury problems. In his 4 games, he did however manage to score a goal, and create 4 assists for Dinamo Zagreb. The attacking midfielder, who is now 27, has played 4 times for Croatia, but is yet to score any goals.

LEEDS 1-0 EBBSFLEET

Leeds started the game by passing the ball around the field, with their Control tactic being used by Vinnie Jones. Sammir, who was playing in Central Midfielder performed well from the start, passing around with Austin, Varney, and McCormack. Many corners were won early, however easily saved by talented Ebbsfleet goalkeeper, Preston Edwards.

Paul Green started the action in the 30th minute of the match, with a long range volley turned over the bar by the Ebbsfleet goalkeeper. Leeds manager, Vinnie Jones started shouting at his players, but this made things work, and the referee soon brought the disappointing half to a close.

In the 65th minute, new signing Alvaro Morata cracked a shot into the top corner, but it was denied by an offside call given by the Assistant Referee on the right. It was obvious that things were getting better for Leeds, as the club started dominating their opponent, and creating many chances.

In the 83rd minute, Leeds veteran Luke Varney scored a cracking goal! A Morata through ball saw Varney through on goal, and he curved the ball around the keeper. After 7 boring minutes, the supporters saw the game end 1-0.
Always good to start the season off with a win, even if it is a friendly. Good to see Morata getting the assist too! Nice signing in Vydra, btw!
Bradford Park Avenue are the best Yorkshire club, believe it! :P
